  • Always loved the Ant! He was so cool!

  • this soooooooooooooo funny ardvark is cool

  • This was one of the best cartoons produced by Misirish-De Patie-Freleng Productions.

  • this is a knock-off of a syvester and tweety cartoon with the bull dog and his broken leg, the old lady nurse, ect

  • sure it is, in those times mgm and warner used to copy every idea, ou remember when the cat concerto appeared, AFriz freeleng did it the same with bugs bunny and some kind of mouse, but tom and jerrys version was better, and of course made by hanna barbera

  • Rhapsody Rabbit was released November 9, 1946, while The Cat Concerto was released April 26, 1947. Based on the release dates it looks like HB copied Friz.

  • I miss this show, I never thought I could find it but its at imissmytvshow, com

  • thanks for the classics! jakie mason is the man! btw, would you happen to have any mr.jaw?

  • I have a co-worker sho loves this cartoon, and he does an imitation of the aardvarks voice that is uncanny, I am sending him this for sure !!! Great !!

  • "We'll take it from the top... Don't *WHACK* be *WHACK* a *WHACK* wise *WHACK* guy! *WHACK*"

  • Did't this appear in thr old Pink Pather shows?

  • that's really great. i love old cartoons, they're so creatice.

  • did somebody knows the name of the song play in the intro and whos playing??

  • That dog looks like a Killer Klown from Outer Space.

  • Discuss The Ant and the Aardvark and other Kids TV at new forum;

    nostalgiakids (dot) co (dot) nr

  • v.good

  • One of my favorite cartoons, with the random mayhem, unlike cartoons of today.

  • One of my favorite cartoons, with the random mayhen, unlike today's cartoons.

  • The voice of the ant in these cartoons is none other than Country music Legend Randy Travis.

  • The german-speaking version is much funnier. The Aardvark is called "blue Elise" and is spoken by a woman... :-)

  • That was some same thing that sylvester the cat did that to the dog! I like it.

  • "We'll take it from the top....DON'T-BE-A-WISE-GUY!!!" I love it,the vaccum sound effect is so cool, it's a crack up!! If anybody has anymore of these or Tiujana Toads (with the original voices) post em' up please!!!

  • i got all these cartoons on dvd. wal mart has it. ant and aardvark rule.

  • i WISH YOU COULD GET A DVD OF THEM. THESE HAD SOME OF THE BEST SOUND EFFECT CLIPS OF ALL CARTOONS.

  • great cartoons.. would luv to see more posted

  • so Byner did both voices?that's a dead-on jackie mason-i always assumed it was jackie mason

  • Thanks for posting.

  • Yeah I can see the Sylvester & Tweety bit,

I love the Ant & Aardvarks dialog in this,

"There's only one thing I've got to say to you,

You're a stupid long nosed--" SLURP! "I hated to cut him off in the middle of an insult, GULP! but I couldn't resist his aroma" LOL!

  • hey ant i want a word with you , the word is stop!!!

  • Funny cartoon! Spot the obvious Sylvester & Tweety reference (Friz Freleng directd all the Sylvester & Tweety shorts)

  • it's not a reference actually

this is the original they remade it with sylvester and tweety

  • It's a remake from 1957's "Greedy for Tweety".

  • This reminds me of Tweety Bird Cartoon

  • "You bad old aardvark!"

    Makes the reference obvious.

  • It ain't nouthing but Dean Martin against Jerry what's his name! But it's good!!!!

  • Dean Martin and Jackie Mason you mean?

  • john byner did the voices

  • This episode reminds me of that Looney Tunes cartoon called "Greedy for Tweety."

  • Believe it or not, this was reworked from a Friz Freleng "Tweety & Sylvester" cartoon from the late '50s, with a slightly disguised "Butch the Bulldog" and "Granny" used again.

  • yep a repeat of another classic
