  • @malgalin Hi, I have gimp 2.6.7. I cannot find the preset docks in this version. Where it is? You can go to dialogue/dock menu under Window tab. But, there's no preset and no create new dock option. Luckily, I got back this dock from 'Recently Closed Dock', but, I don't know how lock this 'Recently Closed Dock' record will be there. I don't dare to close my Layers/Channels/Paths dock now.

  • Thank you very much, for some reason my GIMP didn't have this from the start, but this was very helpful. 5 stars.

  • Thanks. Subscribed.

  • On "Main Gimp Dialoug" i lost my tool options and i dont know how to put them back. Can You Help Me?

  • Easy - click the little triangle in a small box about half way down the main dialogue (it'll say 'configure this tab' when you hover over it)

Then select 'add tab' and then 'tool options'

  • thanks a ton man.

  • Haha, too bad I hadn't thought to look on Youtube the other day when I accidentally closed mine. I figured it out myself though. There are some other dock customizing things he left out of the tutorial though, like adding multiple dialogs to a dock. What I have is a 2 dialog dock, with the layers and undo tabs on the top, and colors, brushes, gradients, text, whatever on the bottom. You can add another "level" by dragging a dialog to the bottom of the dock, and add more tabs the same way.

  • I say the same... video has nice quality

  • Excellent video quality on this tutorial... Like crystal.

Say, I don't suppose that you know of a way to recover a project in GIMP that was lost when GIMP was accidentally closed-down or crashed... Do you?

  • thanks man

  • thanks
