@Exodent Reliability? Like the brakes from Toyota which didnt brake ? Maybe they have other models there in the US , but here nothing can beat german cars. Neither in technique nor in quality. But i heard of the problems with the maintenance, not directly in the USA , but generally on other continents. My uncle has an S4 , he lives in Dubai , and he also says , although he loves his car , he wouldnt buy another cause of the bad maintenance there :/
I agree with Ron Doron!! the infiniti above is an excellent car to drive and to be driven with!!!! simply awesome!! I tested one in Sharjah recently and was amazed really!! Good job by Nissan there, hope they crush those cheating Germans who brandish themselves as with the engineering factor. The Japanese have come in full form (LEXUS,INFINITI,ACURA,SUBARU) and time's end for Mercedes.Only BMW and Audi looks and drives good.Mercedes is nonsense!!!! only SHIT!!!
Please re-do this video. I mean, seriously, you said it has a CVT. I own a Nissan Maxima 2010, and I can talk all day about the CVT. How can you NOT KNOW your car has a 7 speed auto??!!
Looks mostly boring, and who is really in the market for something like that? It's a stupid targeted market. If you have $60,000 to spend on a luxury sedan, why not just put a V6 in it and get 250hp+ and average low 20's in city and about the same highway mpg?
No cvt in this baby. It's likely a 7 speed auto which shifts so nicely you'd think it's a cvt. This guy should not be doing major car reviews. He doesn't really review. He just mostly gives his own opinions.
I'm sick of stopping at stations & buying gas, I'm waiting & getting a pure electric or a series hybrid like the Volt/Ampera....This is Nissan's first real hybrid, the short-comings aren't as bad. Does no one remember how pointless the first Prius was back in '98?
@insidertrading1 Well Infiniti is just around the corner in revealing the worlds first pure Electric luxury Sports Car. Its suppose to debut at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show. Nissan & Infiniti are taking small steps into the hybrid world but they arent focused on creating next generation hybrids, they are more focused on creating Electric vehicles. Hybrids are present, Electric is the future.
@kirk189 Then you should be shopping for a Lexus like the HS or CT which has NO Soul for performance or design. Infiniti is a sport oriented brand, hence the reason why they make hybrid sport cars, the worlds fastest hybrid to be exact. The prime difference between Infiniti's cross country rival like Lexus, is that Infiniti builds cars for people who enjoy driving, Lexus does not hence the reason why they are the class leaders of hybrid cars.
@Johncarson9113 Thanks but I am sticking with Ford and am planning on the new 2013 Ford Fusion Energi. Nice car, but I want very high MPG but still this is a very nice car
@kirk189 I'm sure it is, everyone has their own taste. The Fusion hybrid is both affordable and a nice car for the money. Although not in the same league as the Infiniti the Ford Fusion can stand its own ground in a different market place.
@Darkender1988 yep, it's not a cvt. it's a seven speed auto. the first cvt infiniti will have is in that new JX crossover they're bringing out. I guess he assumed it was cvt because it was too smooth. lol.
You may have heard that warning, it's because he's an idiot and can't drive in the lines with his arm and leg perched up on the door and didn't know what he was talking about.
I'm sorry to correct you Ron, but the Infinity you tested doesn't have a CVT transmission that you don't like. It has got an electronically controlled 7-speed automatic. That's probably why you were pleasantly surprised by the said car. Best wishes
great review Ron, your reviews are really informative and i always look forward to them. i like the fact that you give us information as a daily driver and not just limited to 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, plus the fact that you test the car for a whole week.
A nice review. Thank you.

Why do americans prefer asian cars ?! There are way better cars from Europe and the US.

@NassK44 Reliability and maintenance wise I would say Japanese cars are better than their pricey German counterparts.
