And Near grew up in the orphanage where L grew up. Near was one of two people who would become L's successor in case L died. Near's kind of like L's true successor, the one who was supposed to take over the Kira case if he died. I think that's it, anyway :L

I cried when watching this. L is like a hero, and I really didn't want him to die. It's like killing off Jack Sparrow from PotC. You just don't do it. The series got way worse when L wasn't around.

How could someone ever be as idiotically evil as Light. L finds one friend who seemingly accepts him; Light doesn't give a crap, he lets him die anyway.

I find this to be extremely depressing. And this is why I hate Light with a passion.

I liked Kira, but when he killed L, and after L said "You were are my frist friend," I thought Kira would not kill him because of that, but Kira is a Phsyco. I finished watching the movies (I can't find the series anywhere) and when L died, I cried... and cried, and cried... my heart still aches now; I've never been this depressed about a character death before. I love that song!! It never really made me cry before but it's such a beautiful song. I probably wouldn't cried if I didn't see L's death, but this is a super sad song. Amy Lee is an amazing writer, and in my opinion the best female singer.
