I've been thinking lately along those lines, that love would have no meaning if everything was just bliss and happiness and connection all the time. To truly appreciate the power of love, you have to know its polar opposite. When he mentioned things being a puzzle though, trying to figure out why were evil at times has given me and other people something to do, and its been a really enriching experience.
