  • Ah... the Saemangeum land reclamation project, ask any dutch engineer and he will tell you how hard that project fails on the technical level.

Ah well, I hope the will learn from it for future projects.

  • Man - hate that you missed it! That typhoon was crazy! We went back to Jeju this year and ventured over to U-do Island! Very fun!

  • wow that looks like a really cool place to visit :) too bad it rained and you missed the other place

  • It's a shame you missed the island, but it certainly appears that you had a marvelous time regardless and saw some beautiful things. Thank you for the information about pouring tea - good to know!

  • @thizizliz I'll hopefully get to do a full video on tea here in Korea soon.

  • Too bad you missed out on going. I got to go to Jeju last week it is pretty cool.

  • @jiffmartin Yeah, we'll have to head back there soon.

  • Nice farm and streams! Better luck getting to Jeju next time!

  • @fehquig Yeah, it's just a matter of getting around to there!

  • I loved this video.

  • @intjurban Thanks!

  • Interesting...

  • @grumpychuck ;-)

  • Just letting you know that I love all of your videos and thanks for all your hard work uploading these entertaining yet educational vids for all of us to enjoy. I appreciate them very much.

  • @rezzoro7 You are very welcome! Thanks for watching them! I appreciate it greatly!

  • I loved the forest and plantations, they looked magnificent. Are they in that much need of land that they have to dredge the sea? and how long is that sea wall? love the videos!

  • @miles2057 The Saemangeum Seawall is 33km in length. Korea has a population of almost 50 million, but just around 100sqkm of land. It's a tight fit. So this reclaimed land will be used for farming.

  • @qiranger I heard that a lot of farmlands in southern parts of Korea are being abandoned. So I'm not quite sure why they'd reclaim land from the sea

  • @qiranger Is the whole of South Korea 100 square kilometers? That IS tiny, especially with 50 milion ppl, is it verty crowded there? It's also funny that the Australian population is under 22 million considering the size of the country is almost the same size as America AND that's with the government bringing a hell of a lot of immigrants here too in the last few years otherwise we have a naturally aging country and we r running out of skilled workers,i guess that justifies the influx of ppl.

  • Damn typhoon! Haha great lol tea love. At least being who you are you took the best out of that misfortune!

  • @Ido013 Absolutely!

  • Holy Rainout, Qi-man!

Still looks like a gorgeous place to hang out with or without agreeable weather.

  • @OhCurt Korea is great any time of year!

  • I wonder if the tea farms and shops see an increase in sales when the weather is bad and ferries to Jeju get cancelled.

  • @saiyouken Who knows???? Maybe!

  • my friend is from Bussan :) and I love green tea (nok cha)

  • @TheGinjerninja ;-) I love Green tea as well!

  • my friend is from Bussan :)

  • Great video! I love the way the red was picked up by your camera from the umbrella. And too bad you didn't get to make it to your destination, but looks like you had a ton of fun. Thanks for showing us around and the thing about the tea equally divided was interesting.

  • @TheFaustianMan Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, the camera really likes that red umbrella! The tea ceremony in full is quite interesting! I might have to figure out how to show that in a future video!

  • Hope that you get to go to Jeju Island soon, I'm sure that was disappointing. The green tea farms in Boseong looked so nice, I would have liked going there too. I've enjoyed all your recent trips :)

  • @ArgentineShamrock Thanks. We're currently planning on when to head back... it will certainly be a lot of fun!

  • love green tea!!! my 'go to' drug!!! thx for this latest info!!

  • @thechoos lol Having some green tea right now!

  • Very nice! BusanKevin told us about you, glad he did. Great, quality video + the music. Looking forward to enjoying the subscription.

  • @roxanneworld11 Thanks! I love trying to find the right music for each video. I hope you'll continue to enjoy the videos as well.

  • awesome vid. I found your channel because I have decided to try my hand at ESL...in Jeju no less.

  • @MRLAWSON11 Ah very cool! I really want to make it to Jeju soon! So much fun to be had exploring that paradise!

  • @zongodick Thank you!

  • I never got to Jeju do. From all reports its great, but it's one of the few places I didn't get to in South Korea.

That green tea farm was interesting. Amazing to see all the products made from it. I once got invited to a students house and he served me green tea in the traditional style. He told me that particular green tea was $300 a bag. I told him I hoped it was a very big bag. :P

  • @VirtuallyAddicted Yeah, I was blown away at how expensive some of it was. I found most of the tea too sweet to drink though, but very interesting. I'd love to go back when it was dry!

  • I think I ave been here before with protytype87//that was fun to see the tea sets

  • I think I ave been here before with protytype87

  • @CathyCorlleone Awesome!

  • ahhh the tea sets looked gorgeous...oh and great great video:)

  • @butovas The tea sets were amazing. We even saw one for W350,000! Thanks for watching!

  • once again great video. It's too bad you didn't make it to jeju.

  • @heat4yoass Yeah, but next time I hope!

  • @qiranger

Make sure you take a dive in the waterfall there when you do go. Good times. But also make sure theres no rocks =D

  • Oh that is very intresting.

  • @TylorDark Thank you for watching!

  • i appreciate the effort u make in ur documentary style videos, they are brilliant!

  • @mavidbabae Thanks!

  • What a joy to watch your video, once again! Thanks for sharing this with us!

  • @aJazzyFeel You're welcome! Than you for watching!

  • Drat and bother, I tried to get to Jeju as well while I was living there, not just for the wonderful weather and tropical splendor, but the world's only sex-themed amusement park.

    ...

Look it up, it looks wonderful and any trip back to Korea will be highlighted by a long day spent there. Sorry neither of us could make it to Jeju, at least you're in position to try again in the near future.

  • @TheGunpowderTreason Yes, we were planning on getting to that park and 'explore' it fully!

  • I was drinking my morning green tea while watching this. Oh Steve, you keep reminding me that I have so much from China to upload. On another note, the same thing happened when Ling and I went to Hainan Island... Typhoon. It happened again to us on a trip to Zhuhai =PI have some great footage of the Zhuhai typhoon including Ling losing her favorite hat to the Pacific Ocean, it broke her heart.

    Peace my dear friend.

  • @KazukiSeirei We almost bought some green tea while there, but found it too sweet. I'll stick to my Chinese Green Tea!

  • It happened to me too: Trip to Jeju and typhoon. But it was fun too overall.

  • @TyYann Oy!!!!!! I hate it when things go awry.

  • love how you turned lemons into lemonaide well into nice tea

thanks for the posting as always very enjoyable

  • @silentfades ;-) Thanks for watching!

  • Went to Bosung? I love teas. thanks for great video.

  • @boodoochild Yup! Thanks for watching!

  • Nice tour, obviously, in spite of nasty weather, and very well reported The information about pouring tea was quite interesting! Loved the video; a pleasure to watch, as always :-)!

  • @Truedantalion It's great. Tea is fantastic, when it's done right! Thanks for watching!

  • Looks like y'all made the best out of a bad situation. I loved the green tea store and the tea lesson. Plus, learning about the land reclamation was interesting as well. Looked like that might be a lot of new land coming into being soon. Makes me wonder what might be hidden under that land, if it was uncovered by the sea before at any point in human history.

  • @ebiannah Much of the credit goes to our host, but if you're going to be out and about traveling, You might as well have a good time!

  • @ 3:15 it's so windy at the largest seawall in the world.

    thanks for the tour sir.

  • @trebornoican That it was. Such a nasty typhoon! Thanks for watching! Maybe we can get together soon for some good food and Tagalog!
