Torches have bad lighting too...I liked 1.7's atmosphere a lot better :(

To be honest, with the help of 1.8 I found out that 60% of the reason why I play this game is because of the atmosphere. It pretty much acts upon the rest of the game and gives a purpose, to SURVIVE the night and the freaky caves.

Now that notch took that away, I don't see why I should stick around a survival game that isn't really survival any more.

Oh and the food bar is...interesting but no, I'd stick with the original.

I agree, I haven't played hardly at all- I just want the updates to be over...every time there is an update I have to start over its just ridiculous. I haven't really had time to play but still, I would have made time. I have been going to college and working on a surprise texture pack.

Yeah notch should remove the brightness adjustment meter and just default it in the middle and make lighting go farther.

The food bar needs work, yeah, I think it heals you way too fast. Either make it give half the heals immediately and then the rest over time or get rid of it- its annoying.

@SamuelMMJ it heals slowly compared to the original food eating method so I think it's fine, but the food depleting bar can be quiet annoying when you ONLY want to build houses atm.

I know what you mean. I think the time it takes to go to 0 should be 3 days or so- it goes down so fast when you are fighting its not even funny.

Oh and please please please be more realistic about eating food- sure make it take time to eat but you can't run and eat at the same time?! GRRRR

The fog is just bedrock. Bedrock does that.

The "bug" Is that the deeper you go the more fog appears. Not a bug.

@1august12 Then it just sucks, if I have a tunnel filled with torches I can still only see 10 blocks? Sucks. I like underground fortresses.

From what I can tell, yeah- maybe not that small but definitely a significant decrease in vision.

I did download one I made real quick and it was in the proper 64x32 pixels and a .png

I'm not sure what could be causing it not to work. If you do it correctly there should be no problems.

You have bought the game, correct? If you haven't it will not work.
