I never in my life have I seen a horse like Varenne.It's the strongest trotter of all time not because he is Italian, but because he has won all the most important races of the world and holds many records . Can you read wikipedia? Write Varenne on google and read its history. Shame for your message!!!

@MrItaliano1900 In my 22 years i've seen thousands of races, i've seen 22 hambletonians, with the greatest trotters on earth, i also watched varennes race at the meadowlands, i didn't find him very impressive, The greatest trotter of all time was Mack Lobell, he won the elitlopp, the hambletonian, the international trot, and he smashed world records, if they had met it would have been Mack by 5 at the line. And i train about 25 head myself, and drive. I think i have just as good an opinion.

LoL Driver was really pushing this horse to the wire and he went 1:51.1..Watch the 2009 Hambletonian and you will see the best trotter...It is hard to say Muscle Hill was the best

because he was so lightly raced..But the mile he ran in the Hambo was the most impressive miles i have ever seen by a trotter..

great race by a great trotter in his time but the now we have a canadian sensation a great trotter and his name is SAN PAIL who's has the potential of breaking world records and soon will be considered in elite company with varenne and moni maker if you like trotters check him out this weekend on saturday at the breeders crown when two french invaders rapide lebel and commander crowe at woodbine in toronto canada will try to give sanpail a run for his money as i say will try lol

@jimhughes32 San Pail will never be considered alongside Varenne and Moni Maker unless he's matched differently. Yes, he's the best aged North American trotter but Moni Maker and Varenne won lots races in Europe and North American on different tracks and different distances against different opposition, including the two biggest races in Europe, Prix d'Amerique and Elitloppet. San Pail needs to do that - or something similar - to be a true elite trotter.
