I am a is. and was at Reedley for fresh. and sophomore yr. but I'm going to be a mom, so I'm in home studies. I just want to say GO TUBAS! REPRESENT! I was clarinet for every other yr. but last yr. I was a tuba and loved it. This yr. we r going to play this song again...hopefully it pays off, I miss the band! :)

Reedley H.S. venue is definitely on the field and not on the street. I saw their band perform at Santa Cruz and again in Selma Ca. this past Sat, in the parade and was frankly underwhelmed by their performance. For the casual observer, their performance was entertaining and if that was the band director's goal, he succeeded. But, IMO Any band appearing in a street competition should play a march. "Georgia on my Mind" belongs on the field and not on the street.

I am a Monache Band alum from '89, and frankly I am appalled at some of the comments posted here by MHS Band members. What ever happened to class? Esprit de Corps? Reedley is a good band. yeah of course every band is different and some bands use different or the same music each year. but we use it as a tradition to have fun and for the people to enjoy hearing some of the music they played when they were in highschool and it brings jow to everyone.we do it to have fun.for its not just about winning.

Because we ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE, the Big Green Marching Machine. Not the Mean Green Machine, Not the Mean Green Fighting Machine or any other slogans that we "might've stolen". We're original, just cause we have the same style every year doesn't mean it's easy. We play for the crowd, not for competition. Believe me, the directors would've given the band those cheesy marching music if they wanted to compete. That's what RHS Symphonic & Concert & Triad band is for.

This band is only good for Crowds(which is ok) but with a band this big, your teacher should look into WBA more often. it's more fun than parades. Watch the video from the comments you're making...that loud shrieking roar is OUR crowd. They hardly cheer for you. So that 23-1 score doesn't mean anything, but a trophy. If you guys hadn't won so many times, nobody would even cheer for you. Everybody still comes to see Reedley no matter what the outcome is. We can't say the same for your band.

I know that the only reason nobody likes us at Selma is because we have won so much, but that's a compliment. And how would you know if nobody cheers for us if you don't see us march? Didn't think so. People love us because we are good, we win, and we entertain. You guys are two of those. 'Nuff said.

Ummm..I've seen MHS march STREET and FIELD. Your street sucked, wasn't all together AND you guyz bunch up to prevent any signs of disorganized lines. Second, I gotta admit MHS does great on field or else the judges wouldn't give u guyz such high scores, but trophies don't make you good to spectators' eyes. Nobody likes Monache at Selma because you DON'T deserve to win in OUR OPINION and mostly EVERYONE'S OPINION. Take all the trophies, we don't need them cause we've got the crowd. ENOUGH SAID!
