if steam cant be realeased due to a closed container the temprature of the water continues to rise until it explodes and the water flashes to steam. :):):):):)
The higher the pressure the higher the boiling point. It is the immediate release of this pressure causing the explosion when the water flashes to steam and takes up 1200 times the space of the water.
Ah but that 100 degrees is at ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE. The boiling point of a liquid is defined as the temperature at which its vapour pressure equals atmospheric pressure. As the water is being contained in a small pressure vessel, it will continue to remain a liquid for well over 100 degrees, until the bottle can take no more. Upon rupture of the bottle, the atmospheric pressure is reduced, and the water flash boils to steam, which is most of the bang.
That was a light so the bottle in the microwave was visible. The cord that flew up pulled out the cord powering the cameras, so video was lost just after the explosion.
I only know that a small bottle of alcohol in a TV show (German "Clever Show") experiment not only exploded the microwave, but the alcohol vapour explosion likely would have had enough force to blow the entire kitchen to pieces also.
The best part is the couple frames at the end where it gives you that stereo image illusion

Water boiling point is only 100 degres C and can't go any far idiot.

Yes all I am saying it says the water temperature is at around 200C, it had at that point it become steam, which it can go even higher.
Boiling Point of Water: 100 C

WASTE OF MICROWAVE

That microwave was thrown out by someone, would have gone straight to the landfill. The remains were sent to the recycling depot.
