compared to the stampede this stands no chance in speed and power..i have both and i like the stampede more..the only difference in this mad truck is that its got 4 wheel drive. I use 3000 mah battery on mad truck..the 1800 is to short life on a charge..

hmm i am not exactly sure on that..but i know the ni-mh is the better battery usually..its weird that you get cut offs like that..have you checked if the nimh you have is in good condition?

@sweir127 nimh= nickel metal hydrate. nicd= nickel cadium hydrate. the nicd has better burst of enery, but the the nimh will last alot longer. ther shoouldnt b that much difference tho. buy a traxxas nimh, they will work for sure

I bought one (about 2 years ago) and never again! Spent too many days fixing it! Problems: if you put bigger battery you will melt the fen inside the motor, steering servo died same day, steering servo saver doesn't work at all, esc is mystery - sometimes beeps???, It is made in China very rough!!! I would never buy something like that again! Buy Stampede, HPI Wheely King or Associated RC18MT and you will be more than happy! (My Wheely King is now a Rock Crawler!) My Mad Truck-for display only

I had similar problem with my monster patrol but that when i put a new engine in and it burned out lots of stuff. stop accelerate before you burn something out try take the motor out and taking it to a hobby shop maybe they can help.

My mad truck is playing up on me. When i accelerate a tiny bit it will start reversing. And when i turn it on and accelerate it dies and makes the sound that it makes when it goes flat. Has anybody had these problems too? or know what to do? If so reply

hey mate I had simmilar problems with mine and I thought it was the reciever but it turned out that it was low battery in my hand controller. Mine makes the beep beep noise when I try to drive it when the cars battery is too low. I bought two Nimh 2000 mah batteries and they work great but I still have to keep the batteries in the hand controller reasonably charged. I hope I helped!

Nothing is modifyd in that one ! Mad truck goes like that with 100% original pieces ! If you want it to go faster just get a new battery and engine =D

i havent done any modifications on this one and this does not have an engine..its an electric motor..you can try putting a motor with less turns but you might need to change the gearbox a bit too if u do so..

yeh, well im not really having much fun yet, i have a problem and im not sure what it is :(. The thing is that i recharged the battery that was already charged thinking it was flat. Does that kill the battery?

I bought it used and if what i wrote doesnt kill batteries they must have given me a bad battery.

well what you mentioned cant kill a battery really..but depends on your charger..normally the charger will detect the full charge and not over charge. does your charger detect when the battery is fully charged and go into a full charged mode? but these batteries sometimes need couple of full discharges to get into proper shape. nimh are better in this case than nicd batteries..

the motor the 550 sucks ass and then later on the esc the radio is pretty good (for the price)i beat the shit outta the esc and radio with open battery wires and such and ive had no malfunctions i threw in a old 540 and it screams im going to attempt to run a brushless when it gets here in the mail other than that the rest of the truck is great the tires hook up good the 4wd works great and its nice and smooth i hope this helps any 1 who is searching for info on the heap mad trucks!

well i cant be very sure about this but i charge my 7.2v battery with a charger that is designed for 4-7 cells and charging at a rate of 4amps..im not sure how much of output does the charger give in volts..u need to check how many cells it supports..

well i am not very sure i think its best you ask the guys you got the truck from cos i just picked up one of the RC battery chargers from where i got the truck. normally the number of cells is how they measure it for these chargers..my charger doesnt mention anything more than that it takes 12v DC input from my car..

i bought if for around 250 AUD..im already using a 4200 mah battery..as long as the voltage is same mah doesnt matter..its just longer running time and a bit more kick..in this vid im using a 3000 mah..cheers

ahh i think i know exactly what the problem is..when you had damaged your front wheel your servo gear got damaged as well..it has happened to me on the same truck before..it makes the click sound when u turn..well looks like it..maybe u will have to put a metal geared servo with servo protector so it wont happen again..

Great Truck A+ i enjoy mine alot..i had it for three days and then three days after xmas i crashed into a rock and the whole tire came off and had to get a replacement, having trouble tightening the tire back on any tips?!?! Tips would be nice considering im 12 so any tips would be great Thanks :)

thanks...hmm i dont quite understand exactly which part of the tire needs tightening..can you explain me more in detail..and if u are talking about tightening the wheel back you need to use the small 4-way wrench that was given to you and the small screw thats it..hope that helps..

the mAH rating on the battery means how long it wil last. maH stands for mili-amp hours. the higher the maH, the longer the batery will last between charges. if you only have a 500 maH battery, then it probably will only last 5-6 min. on a full charge. go buy a 7 cell 7.2 battery, with 1800 or more maH...and it will last 15-20 min. you can also buy a 15 min. quick charger from the hobby store for about $50.00.

no they dont have any indicator. i've ask another person on another video and he said it takes up to 4 hours which is quite long. yes the battery is warm when it reach 4 hours. maybe i should get a better charger..

yeah get a charger which charges at 4amps..in this way it will only take max of 1hr to charge and charges pretty good..4hrs is too long..

hmm the thing is im not sure what ur stock charger is bcos i am using a unico car charger which connects directly to my car's batt and charges..this thing charges at 4amp and it charges my 3600mah nimh batt in abt an hour...your kind of batt should charge in about 30min with 4amp charge rate..what is your charge rate on charger? and 5min is not rite..your batt is not fully charged..

Hi..I think you can bcos at one time i hit a tree and my front servo motor got damaged and i went and bought a heavyduty metal servo for it from the RC hobby store i bought it from. Most parts are common to the other ones or standard. Its called Mad Truck. I think u can even get it on ebay have a look i saw it once there. cheers.
