For the negative comments, my question is…..why? None of you making these comments would say anything if you were not hidden behind your keyboard. That is what weaklings and cowards do, talk tough and be rude via the internet because they feel inferior in real life.
@9058675309 Leave this kid alone, Butt-munch, and say hi to the Wall Street Occupiers and Rosy O'Donnell. This kid broke no laws or did anything illegal. Your own kids will probably grow up and be crack and meth-heads.
@9058675309 Non-threatening?? Clearly you do not have bear problems like where we live. We ;like to control our bear population in Manitoba so we can enjoy the outdoors... camping, hiking, tenting etc. with a hunting program designed by our government, but maybe you dont leave the city or you just camp in camp sites with your camper and dont actually know what it is like to be in the wilderness...How many bears do you have where your living? our population is controled and kept healthy here.
@muncio1 i hunt with long bow, recurve,or compound i dont care what a person uses as long as there hunting heck use a spear for all i care its all about fair chase and being outdoors
herpingsnakefinder, you need to be quiet. i can highly dought that you can pull back 75 pounds, im 16. i couldnt pull back 45 pounds myself. so id consider you dont talk unless you have something good to say. way to go Josh!
I will rape this useless kid in the mouth, then behead him and play soccer with his head while he will look at me with his bloody eyes full of fear...unfiortunately his head won't smile anymore;((
@metromk your right in canada you need to pull 50lb to hunt bear and 39.6 for deer and turky im 12 and i got my first turky that was 26lb and had 2 inch spears i am exited to go out on oct 1 for deer :)
@NoahK16 I'm sorry. but before you reffer to a country at a whole. In British Columbia, Minimum deer hunting 44 pounds.. Turkeys are 39 and Bear ar 44 aswell, and deer season starts august 25th
I don`t understand how this could be called sport. You threw garbage on the ground and waited for an animal to come and eat it. My bother in law did the same thing in canada when he went for black bear.
@Josh Good for you son. I'll be going on my 1st bear hunt this year. Your father has taught you skills, and traits that will serve you for the rest of your life. There are two types of people in this world, predators and prey. Being a predators does not mean your evil. It only means, you will not roll over and be a victim.
Hunt Hard, Hunt Often, and always be true to the one who made you!
hahaha NICE! I wish people would do a bit of research and know what they are talking about befor makeing such rediculous comments...everything is about morals and how we are raised...I see you people are so respectful on here. For the record, the hunting of bears is done here as PREDATOR control for safety reasons, This is being done through the hunters who enjoy the SPORT, The TROPHY hunt and who enjoy eating the meat. I'm so happy my son was raised and is mature enough to handle idiots!hahaha
To kill for food. I get it. To kill to protect one self ot family and property, I get it. To kill for the heck of it is sick and psychotic. I guess that is what happens when you are raised without morals. Hope the bear gets you next time you loser.
Wow...some aggressive responses (and people out there). Josh, you have a lot of patience and your dad is obviously teaching you about both respect as well as how hunting is part of many areas' wildlife management programs. It is hard to watch any beautiful animal die, and Josh you showed skill and care in approaching this hunt. It is also really hard to watch entire herds or populations fall ill from over-population.Hunting helps keeps wildlife populations healthy...oddly enough. Josh did well.
IF YOU KILL IT.... YOU EAT IT. That's what I was taught. Even when I go fishing I release the fish unless I know I'm going to eat it. When the American Indians killed an animal it was for food and coats and a million other things and the always said a prayer for the animal. They were thankful to the animal and felt loss for the animal as well. Today, it's just RA RAH!!! I killed it!!
why do people hunt bears? Nobody give me any of that 'shut up you girl' stuff, I've hunted for food before but I don't know why you would kill such a majestic animal...
@Slypaperclips when u have 100o of any one kind of something and there is only room for 250 well some have to go, if u hunt your know that, now i dont shoot or keep any thing im not going to skin and eat, but i kill the shit out of hogs to many as of now
if you know anything about archery you would see he used a mechanical broadhead that is one of the best on the market. The bear went 60 yards and died under 10 seconds, cant get a better clean kill than that, with ANY weapon! Also in manitoba we hunt over baits as it is impossible to hunt in such thick bush any other way...this is legal and the most humane way of keeping the population of bears controled.
My son is being taught great values he was patient and made a clean shot
Josh... Great Hunt. Mark you must be very proud. I was setting on the edge of my seat watching it, then I almost fell out of my seat when I heard him say "this is my wild outdoors". I have already called up some friends to watch it, and posted it on my web site. Great video guys.
Congrats to this young man on an awesome trophy.

Really good shot.
I miss bear hunting , I used to hunt bear spring and fall hunts.
Now being in a wheelchair it's just not easy anymore to get into the bush.
But someday hope to get back to hunting.
