its alternate fingering (also called: double density notes) for example - finger an A, and then place you three fingers on your right hand down - do this quickly. Another way is to over blow a low C or Bb or something so the octave comes out and alternate this with the proper fingering.
This woman can play! She's able to completely change her tone from the beginning to the middle as if she changed mouthpieces. This is more than smooth jazz, I'd say it's a hybrid of smooth jazz with lot's of improv, and besides her hair is much prettier than Kenny G's.
