Eravamo al cinema, mio marito ed io (ancora fidanzati), c'era questa colonna sonora nel film ma, ahimè,non siamo riusciti a vedere il film! Era nel Dicembre de1971, di pomeriggio.Che bei ricordi! Francesca .
When I was listening this concert first time I remembered, that I was dreaming this song...
But my mother says, that in this concert first theme is some communistic harmony... Just think: red flag is waving on the Kremlin and this theme is playing... Very magnificent, but of course lurid...
Been listening to this since I was about 4... Its what got me into playing violin and piano.. I'm now 20 and have since given up both instruments. Having just listened to it feels like reawakening my past and guess what? I'm going to join my local orchestra ^^
If I may grab your attention for a bit, I would like you to direct it to ACTA.

Does anyone else blast this song in the car and pretend you are playing the piano like that. :D Or just listen to it with your ipod and imagine yourself playing this for a huge crowd?!
@SwEeTsKiLlS235 i always pretend i play this in front of a huge crowd like Victor Borge did if you've heard of him, a more comedic approach to the depth of this classical masterpiece :D
@bachthoven1685 True story I met a one year old who absolutely loved this peice he stopped crying when it was played but then he started crying again when we played Grieg for him.
@MrHellowassup Neither am I. I just wondered about the debate about all these "special" kids in the comment section so to be honest, I just keed about them as Mr. bachthoven did. Anyways, it was a Joy for me to be rebuked for that infantile behaviour here. Fare well and, if you allow me to advice you here, listen to this compared to Chopin's e-minor Piano Concert, you'll enjoy the style comparison as I did.
@BeaLux100 Your getting the joke the wrong way so that makes you wrong because what he meant is people keep writing for E.G hey guys i'm 13 years old and i like classical music. What he wrote was sarcasm.
@WarFite I'm a little bit confused right now about who said what and meant it in which way but I can ease your worries about that ;) I understood him and added my crap. My crap seemed to be more annoying than funny, therefore I apologized. discussion ending.
If you enjoy both Classical type music and pop music of today, please check out my channel and I do both. I play the violin, the piano, and I sing. I would greatly appreciate your view and hopefully your subscription if you enjoy my work. Thank you. -Vanessa
This resonates with my mainly due to Bernard Herrmanns use of this song for the opening theme on Mercury Theater on the Air. The playfulness in the song is astounding and very inviting.
Tchaikovsky created a masterpiece that transcends time.
Oh I forgot, in the process, denigrate all other popular, contemporary genres of music (rap, hip-hop, pop, punk rock), and say how it baffles you (you MUST use the word "baffles"--it will earn you several pretentious points) that others of your age group enjoy such crude art forms.
If you desire to have a top comment, here's a template:
I'm (insert number here, preferably under 20) years old and (explain how you enjoy this music despite your age, because clearly it is damn near impossible for anyone of any age to enjoy a piece of music).
Saying "I'm so young and I like this music" says loads more about the quality of the music itself than about your "taste" or whatever in music. It takes a genius to create music that even you young punks can appreciate. Bravo Tchaikovsky!
@TheViolinist64 Yeah you're right the man is brilliant, but most of us "young punks" listen to crap music that gets old after a month. It takes a smart kid to appreciate what this man did for music.
@TheViolinist64 Well...I must say i aplaud your honesty i think there is a bit of disrespect in calling people "punks" out of the blue like that. i agree otherwise.
@iKillZombies4fun115 Speaking as a "punk" myself, (started classical music at age 7, now age 19) I assure you I use the term light-heartedly and with no disrespect intended.
