Although this is a pretty old video I thought I might as well clear things up about the counter at 0:29 for those who still watch this video.
While in Gloomy Stance press B+K. You'll perform a motion in which you can guard repel. The guard repel is against MID, S-MID and S-LOW attacks. If your opponent would land one of the mentioned attacks while the purple glow is still on your weapon, you'll repel it and grab. When you land the grab you'll perform the throw. The move CAN switch moods twice.
Cool vid. I did see some opportunities to carry on the combos - 0.57 for example and there's a good combo in gloomy that goes - Back B, B, B (just frame), forward A (repeatedly press) or double forward K. But I love Tira, she's a really good character.
its a counter, you have to land the hit when your oponent is about to attack... its like when you are rising press triangle (vertical attack) and she will throw her ring to the oponent...
Tira is one of the best fighters in the series. she is a highly experienced fighter. you ca'nt play with Tira all crazy doing random SH!T and expect to win. The way Tira is Set up is that she is set up in a way that she can guard impact attacks and she never leaves an opening for attacks after she finishes like Taki, Siegfried, Mitsurugi and the others do. Learn how to Guard, Guard impact, and use Tira's powerful moves at the right moments and i bet you will win with Tira 99% of the time!!!!
saying that Tira is low tier because shes NOT A LOW TIER FIGHTER!!!!! If you want to know the truth Tira has been labeled #6 in the top 10 Soul Calibur's BEST fighters so that should tell you some thing right their and if you dont believe me that go to Tira's Wiki and READ her information. Tira is ONE OF THE BEST FIGHTERS IN SOUL CALIBUR 4.
3.-taunt (you have to taunt and not to recive an attack while taunting), this is the most common way to change the stance but its not the better!!
and the othe is to make the "attack" that hits herself...
for this last one if u keep pressing the buttons she will hit herself from 1 to 3 hits deppending on the time u keep pressing them, but ist random... -CONTINUE DOWN-
...but its "random", sometime change and aometimes she does not, there is a way to make her change always you have to make the attack and keep the buttons pressed until she hits her the second time!! try this on training mode to see the timing!

Ummm, just for the record, tiras gaurd impacts have much more of a chance at hitting than most. Mainly because not only do they last a little longer than most but they hit both vertical and horizontal moves and on two different levels, either low-mid or mid-high. you just have to time them like regular gaurd impacts as well. So I dont see how you can say shes at the bottom.

Please try to look at it this way. take Astaroth: He is relatively slow and has many attacks that have slow execution or can be easily jumped over. Say that he fights a Tira player who is equally skilled and uses a slow execution vertical attack the Tira player sees through it and has enough time to either guard impact use a sidestep move or use a counter such as B+G. Astaroth uses a slow ex sweep which is jumped over using an updraft and countered. In this way Tira has used her advantages.
Which is why a player who uses her needs to be more trained. For your info Tira is mid tier. Have you ever even played SC4? Tira has some punishing just and natural combos, as well as some nice counters and guard impact counters. SO THERE!!!!
Obviously I play this game or I wouldnt be watching videos for it online. What I'm saying is on a damage to damage comparison with most other players' combos, Tira is not nearly as good. The max amount her combos can do, even on counter, is about 70.
Tira's guard impact moves are useless, just like almost every other characters'. The only character that has a move with built in impact that hits more than 10% of the time might be raphael or yoshi.
Even so I don't believe Tira is low tier.Try to remember that damage and combos are only one aspect of fighting in SC. If you only judge a character on the damage of their combos than your judgments are bound to be biased and you will overlook alot of characters strengths. You of all ppl should understand that tiers are not only about damage %.... Ideally each character should have an equal amount of strengths and weaknesses wouldn't you say?

unblockable attacks, number of moves with built in sidestep/guard impact, number and effectiveness of interchangeable stances, capacity for stun air/ combos, grappling/throwing capacity, fluidity of attacks and natural combos, easiness, and damage of combos. For instance did you know that Tira's moves in gloomy side deal more damage and have a fast recovery rate, while the ones in jolly side offer more range and are better for juggling.

The move at 00.29 is a counter, when in gloomy stance (the dake-purple, holding the ring with one hand) press Triangle+circle and you will see the ring glows for half a sec, do that when someone hits you and Tira will do move.
your mom, maybe. no but I imagine most 10hit combos can be escaped besides maybe multi-hitting moves, like amy's qcf bbbbb or cervys crouching a+b and combos done that include those types of moves. Ive got a nice 7 hit with vader most people cant escape 6b,b~g b,b run up a little then b+k,b,b. a simple 10+ hit w/ amy...6k,6b+k, 236bbbbbb should be pretty close...
Also, Anhe3k if you have live i would enjoy playing with you. If not well, good to see that someone plays as tira : ) Shes an underplayed character, mainly because she's so damn slow without her combo attacks being used. Shes nothing against Kilik sadly. If you can do well against an edge-master Kilik you are truely the god of Tira haha! again, very nice upload. : )
I love playing as tira, favorite character. My favorite combo out of all of them is the Y while rising. I don't know the name. It throws em into the air and you spin their ring on them. If anyone has played xUnlivingchaosx on live then you wouldve seen me do that plenty of times. Bloody fine video here. Thanks for the upload.

It's a counter from gloomy state. It automatically counters any move that isn't low or a throw, then tira does an unescapable grapple on them. It's pretty wicked.
Not all are guaranteed, thats why i wrote move and combo. Some are guaranteed and some are not. I made the video to show some of Tiras moves since its very little videos of her on youtube. Maybe some one wanted to see some of her moves, fight style and combos.

there a are many ways to change the stmace...
1.- being hitted many times
2.-hit the opponent with certain attacks

tiers are about ho characters stack up against each other. and tira is at the bottom for a reason. damage is just one.
and if all characters were balanced, tiers wouldn't exist.

You have to be in the gloomy stance (holding the ring with just one arm) (got a dark purple glow when she goes into this stance.)

the face ride is the normal flykick (forward+circle in gloomy stance)
If you hit a player standing still it will just kick him back, but if you hit him just efore he is about to hit you she will allso do the faceride
