  • did it connect to the original plug?

  • @natermorris No you have to splice the wires together.

  • how did u do it

  • how much did it cost you and where did ya get it from

  • @petrone08 I got them off Ebay. Sorry I can't remember how much I paid for them but they weren't that much.

  • How would you match the odometer reading from your old analog. Or does it just restart you at 0?

  • Whatever the F4 guages say is what you'll have showing for mileage. I don't think there's a way to reset it. If anyone knows, would you let me know?

  • @xFreeGeox

Not sure how to change it or if you even can. If I find out, I'll post it up.

  • Nope. Mine reads fine. I followed my wife at different speeds and it works fine.

  • what did you do about the speedo? is it just a wire?

  • Yes it is. Everything is all run off of sensors. It's a really straight forward swap. Pretty easy. I've put about 5,000 miles on mine since I did the swap and it still works perfect.

  • also i just read that i need to get a speedohealer......did you have to get that in order for the speedometer to have the correct reading?

  • thanks.......im having a problem. i cant find the wiring diagram anywhere ive looked for about 2 or 3 hours with no luck. any suggestions?

  • f4i gauge for my f3 is on its way. temp. sender from '98-99 cbr900rr fits into f3 and gives correct reading for the f4i gauge.

  • I found and posted this on the forums:

f3's yellow/black wire connects to f4i's white/blue wire AND NOT it's green/white wire in order to have the "FI" light work as a FUNCTIONAL kick stand indicator!!

  • well done. i've seen this on the forums and my f4i gauge is on its way for my f3. and you're right 98-99 Cbr900rr temperature sensor threads into the f3 and gives the right reading to the f4i gauge!

  • Thanks. Mine has been working great for about a year now. Fab'd up a good mount and a lot of people complimented on it.

  • Does the fuel gauge work? Looks really nice.

  • Nope, there's no fuel sending unit in the tank.

  • Is there a way to hook up the or us the F4i fuel sending unit or do you just use the trip meter for the your calculation when to refill?

  • You might want to try to Google the F4 sending unit thing. I never tried it or even looked into it. I just go until I feel it running out of gas, then turn it to reserve and hit the next gas station.

  • i have a 96 cbr f3, could ya tell me what all was involved. i wanna update mine

  • This is a pretty straight forward swap. I forgot exactly where I found the directions but try google, it's pretty popular and should bring it up. Just remember the green wires on this bike are ground wires (not your typical black wire).

  • Similar question - can anyone tell me the work involved in fitting F4 gauges to an F3, looks good. Thanks.

  • i have done the same hting to my f3 i also got hte f4i temp sensor so my temp guage works as well

  • is that just a quick plug in job or did you have to do some new wiring?
