  • Hi, can someone do a video to show me how play with the arpeggio on the lps2,

i'm french and i really don't understand what's said on the manual!

    Help me please i'm desperate!!!

  • When chuck norris farted this synth tried to recreate the awesomeness and won (but only 'cause chuck said so).

  • Mean little sucker that LP :-) I'm selling mine tho, going software.

  • awesome video!! my little phatty is in the mail, coming in a few days, i cannot wait for it!

  • i don't see any cable on the output..how do you recorded it..?.?

  • @thewretchedrod I recorded it from the headphone out.

  • Cool :-)

  • Sounds kind of like On The Run

  • Can you program the arpeggiator yourself ? or just arp presets ?

  • @Flipjunkie1 the arpeggiator is completely customisable. find the Little Phatty manual online to see all the details.

  • its really better with a real analog vintage synth like a minimmog or a prodigy, all these new mùachine havent got any soul, plastic and cold look , i dont understand why people continu to buy new synth , so vintage is better .

  • how did you loop the sound? is there a speaker in the actual machine aswell?

  • @kawoooosh no, there are no internal speakers. the arpeggiator is looped because it's on "latch" mode.

  • Stunning ! Is it an easy software upgrade from 2.10 to 2.20 ?

I read about people having issues once trying to upgrade... any stable version ??

  • @gilwe I didn't have any problems upgrading. I use a MIDI to USB cable and it seems to do the trick. I believe there were problems with the initial firmware upgrades but I think it's stable now.

  • totally sounds like that drone track from dark side of the moon

  • what is that bracelet on your wrist?

  • AH THAT FILTER *drooool*

  • how to obtain an infinite loop only press 1 time ?

  • This reminds me of mass effect a lot! Like wandering Illium or something...

  • I must say you do the best demos of the LP. you make can actually make the thing sound fat and good.

  • @culturaleyes thank you

  • On The Run - Pink Floyd, anyone? :P

  • @iEirikB that's the very first thing i thought of

  • @iEirikB obvious xD

  • hi how do i get the latch to work? i have enabled it. is there a key i need to press once i have the arpeggiator going??

  • how many keys are you able to play without it cutting out? voices i think it is?

  • @jasonmathieu1 the synth is monophonic. you can press as many keys as you have fingers. it runs through the notes sequentially depending on what order you pressed them and your arpeggiator settings i.e. up, down, up/down, random etc.

  • What do you recommend that is comparable to the little phatty but is Polyphonic?

    Thanks

  • @matuks95 if you have a midi keyboard you can get the dsi tetra (4 voice), the hands on controls aren't as good as having the phatty but if you have novation remote keyboard you can map it all to the tetra anyways

  • @matuks95 it depends on your budget. The Dave Smith Instruments Mopho combined with a Tetra or alternatively go the whole hog and buy a Prophet 08. Otherwise I would recommend a Roland Gaia, Korg Mono/Poly or Roland Juno 60/106

  • Hi, I have a question. Does the Little phatty allow you to you play more that one key at once, can you play a bass note with your left hand and then play some melodies with your right hand??

    Thanks

  • @matuks95 no, it's monophonic.

  • @discotechwreck can you name some great polyphonic synths? thanks

  • @discotechwreck is ist with usb monophonic too?

  • This is a damn fine synth. It's also a damn shame that I can't afford it. :(

  • @legomyfego yes you can. just save and save money and the end its gonna be the best day of your life . thats what im doing.

  • this was straight into your macbook??? damn im impressed!

  • is there an onboard arpeggiator?

  • @wreck93 yes, that's what I am demonstrating

  • booooo---riiiiiiing

  • how do you do this.....? i am a beginner to synths and i have a moog lol (yeah, i know..)

  • i tried it and i didn't like it at all

  • why? im thinking of getting one.....

maybe stick to the mopho/tetra, its hella cheaper

  • Hi, I have a question... Seems that if I try to record LP playing arpeggiator in sequencer, it will actually record every note that the LP generates, not just the chord forms I hit on the keyboard. It makes a mess when I play it back...what should I change?

  • Is your DAW sending MIDI to the Little Phatty?

that could be the source of your problems

disconnect the MIDI in and try recording it again

  • would yall recommend getting one of these?

  • too bad the stage version doesn't have the wood sides:/

  • well it's an epic patch. i'm trying real hard to get that sound, but can't yet. if you could help in any way that would be cool.

  • what preset did you use?

  • this is my own custom patch

    I don't really use presets

  • STOP USING PRESETS,DAMMN! DONT YOU UNDERSTAND THIS IS A SYNTHESIZER,SO SYNTHESIZE!anyone that uses presets is a dweeb!

  • How many notes maximum can pe programmed?

  • It almost sounds like Pink Floyd's "On The Run" played in 3/4 time as opposed to 4/4.

  • Crazy!

  • That sounds almost as chunky as a moroder arp circa 1982!! Awesome. Nothing else sounds like an analog synth - I havn't heard a softsynth with that much character. Some come very close but the nuances of analog would take a lot of processing power to reproduce in the digital world

  • Could someone please explain how to do this, I have a phatty 2, and cant do this..

Thanks... Hope for some help !

  • i´m also interested to know how that works

  • @makeitgrand did you ever discover how to use the arpegiator? I'm about to receive my little phatty stage 2 and need to know

  • try reading the manual.

  • Thanks, bought it used and no manual, but figured it out easily.

  • go in the official website and download the manual my friend you should read it

  • If you own a moog little phatty stage. You dont need to buy the second one to get these features. Go on moog music. com and go to little phatty stage product page. Go to software the update for this firmware is right there for free. All you need is a midi to usb interface and viola! you have a moog little phatty stage 2.

  • Just updated the firmware on my stage 1. The arpeggiator shows in the sub menus, but doesn't actually work.

    Highly annoying.

  • the virus ti v2 is amazing along with the Total Integration for sync-able capabilities with your DAW

  • Total Integration was introduced with the first Ti.

  • the virus ti doesn't even compare to the little phatty, I had one... sounds way too digital.

  • yea this is true...the virus is really no different then a soft synth..i had one and never even used it on one track.

  • Can't compare virus with a moog. It's like comparing a piano and a synth, or a guitar with a bass guitar. different instruments different sounds..... i wish i had both

  • As much as I love warm analog sounds, sometimes I just need some cold digital sounds too.

  • the total integration is pretty unusable though....horrible timing and delay issues

  • with my USB to MIDI interface the timing is rock solid.

  • Its good, but i have a voyager, an ob-8, and a roland system 100. Understandably, im not that impressed ;-D

  • i really have not seen these things do anything software synths cant

  • It's not what it can do, it's how it sounds. Some people (myself included) prefer the sound of real analog. Some people prefer software or VAs. There is no wrong or right, just personal taste.

  • only issue is that you are running it throu a kp3, wich has a very noticeable digital sound, run it through an analog delay, even a good analog stompbox and you will get analog bliss.

  • I have ran it through a Roland Space Echo

and in my honest opinion, the Tape Echo setting on the KP3 is not that dissimilar and I have the benefit of MIDI sync

  • @soundxplorer this is not a real analogue?

  • @wreck93 Yes, it is real analogue. My comment was aimed at someone saying they prefer software.

  • it 's the tactile interface and hands on quality which appeals to people

the ability to use knobs, switches and buttons in real time

also, the audio quality and warmth of analog is very different to that of digital synths

granted, the programs I use in Logic are very powerful, but using solely a computer to create music can often result in something very clinical

  • It isnt easy to make a good sounding analog synth and thats the same for digital. But a Moog is designed to sound good. For sound creation analog sounds better but digital synths are more flexible

  • yeah man it really is a sound thing especially at the low end. Software has aliasing and so does digital in many circumstances although that has gotten much better recently. I love soft synths... have a good number of them but I've still never heard anything that can come through the floor and blast through you like the low end of an analog synth. You gotta

  • Very cool sounds. I have an original Stage and I'm glad they provided the arpeggiator in a software update. I love my LP! The sound, the look, everything.

  • how much is that model?

  • Oh god that looks pretty... And sounds nice.

  • nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!8>
