Thanks for telling the story. What can I say...poor fella. Fact is, its hard to tell what will happen in a relationship 10 years down the road. A lot of it is the control issue for sure. Live together, respect each others views, and move on.

@atheistphilosopher Agree to a certain point but, I don't discriminate like these people. I now am an outspoken Atheist over this, but it's for the better. I think the mild religious and non-believers can make it in marriage. My situation was unique and it could of worked without the parents involvment in my opinion.

I made the mistake of going out with a very religious friend. It lasted about 6 weeks... With most people I couldn't give a stuff what they believe, but I felt like when she harped on about god's love and creationism it reflected poorly on my own intelligence, and that people would assume I shared her beliefs. I just couldn't take it.

I'm an atheist, and I'm dating a born again christian. She's a closet atheist, though. She knows all that bible jazz is utterly irrational and illogical to believe in, but it's what makes her happy :) So it's all goooooooooooooooood.
