That's Airi's daughter and Kiyone's(Tenchi's mom's sister) Minaho.

Airi is from the planet Aairi. While Yosho/Katsuhito was a the Galaxy Police Academy, Airi fell in love with him. Katsuhito did have other wives. Airi and Katsuhito's first daughter is Minaho.  Kiyone is their second daughter. Minaho is behind Yosho. Tennyo seems to pretending to be Yosho's wife.

Ok, the way to understand/enjoy this series is to not think of it as a sequel to Tenchi Muyo...it's a sequel/prequel to GXP!

No Tenchi's mother was only half human in Tenchi Universe.

And it's easy to follow the ovas. It's Tenchi Universe, and Tokyo, and the movies that make it really confusing for new commers. Watching OVA 1-3 + GXP it makes enough sense

And that girl in the top right is Minaho. I believe she is Kyones older sister. I have to check the family tree, but she is part of the family. I believe she is one of Yosho's daughters.

@messence I wasn't talking about Tenchi Universe. I was just saying, I was under the impression that Yosho came to Earth, married a human women, and they had Kiyone...that's all.

Again, you misunderstood me. The first 2 OVAs are easy to follow. The 3rd OVA is difficult to follow if you haven't seen GXP and aren't familiar with the novels. Even if you see GXP, some of it still is hard to follow unless you research on the internet (ie, the whole business with Misaki/the counteractor or whatever).

In the first movie Tenchi in Love, they gave a reason to why Tenchi's mother died young. But I think the reason she didn't live as long is because she didn't have a royal tree. They mentioned something about this in an earlier episode about how the trees help extend their lives.

We have a chance to see a Jurain ceremony. It is reflective of a Shinto wedding ceremony. One facet of the Jurain wedding ceremony is Reia's headdress. It is not the traditional headdress of a Japanese bride. The sister of Kiyone is in some of the pictures. Tenchi's sister pretended to be her grandmother.

Washu did not intend on listening on Tenchi's and Noike's conversation.
