  • Mick Green - such a powerful punchy guitarist, he had a really natural stage prescence that grabbed you, and as everyone says, a charming lack of 'rock star' ego. I was lucky enough to meet him at a late gig in Blackpool, what a sad loss.

  • i remember this clip from the old grey whistle test , eeh haw

  • What a fantastic rocking band they were... saw them a few times in the late '70's when their star was rising on the back of phenomenal live shows & a rave NME review by some music journo or other - Roy Carr possibly?

The sheer exhilaration of hearing Mick Green and the boys rocking out was second to none at a live gig, and their laid back low key attitude the perfect antidote to 'rock star' bulllshit.

RIP Mick, you were a lovely man and a legendary guitarist!

  • RIP Mick Green.

  • R.I.P Mick you were a star

  • They got Elvis on guitar!!

  • really were on of the best bands i ever saw at JB's (the proper one) in Dudley, about 1979? anyone else there?

  • Mick Green - GUITAR HERO - God he must have sweated buckets at every gig!! Brilliant!

  • Fantastic performance, great straight-to-the-point singing from Johnny, rock solid drumming from Frank, and of course bloody brilliant guitar playing from the late but always great Mick! He will live on through his influence in the sound and style of thousands of guitarists throughout the world.

  • Mick Green tribute concert at The 100 Club, on Sat 27 Nov. Special Guests include The Animals and Wilko Johnson Band. Tickets now on sale. Check out mickgreen.co.uk for more details
