@TheNARUTOFREAK200 It's meant to manually unlock phat PS2 disc drives. The manual unlocking does not send the TRAY OPEN status to the motherboard, thus making disc swapping possible (the PS2 rechecks the disc every time the tray is refreshed).

Yes, it only work's on fat PS2 consoles. For slim console you will need to make or purchase magic keys. Google it.

Because you need to relock the drive. If you keep slamming it you're eventually going to break a tooth on one of the gears or completely fuckulate your eject motor.

It is possible to run burnt PS1 games without any kind of hard or softmod, only with the help of a slide card and an original PS1 game to bypass the anti hacking system. There are lots of videos on that here on YT.

lol when i made one of these things, my ps2 opened the cd tray acouple of times but then the card got stuck and when i tried to take the card out, a few plastic pieces flew out of my Ps2 and my cd tray wouldn't open for like a week, But i fixed it :D

It's COMMONLY (not only use) used for playing backup PS1 games on a PS2.

1. Turn on the PS2 and go to "Browser"

2. Put in a regular PS1 game.

3. When the disc shows on screen, go to it, but don't start it.

4. Use the slide card to move the pin

5. Open tray and put in backup PS1 game

6. Close tray, use slide card to put pin back in place.

well, i have the CDs and made the swap tool, burnt my backups, followed every tutorial I can find, and it stops at the "Playstation" screen that starts when you load a PS1 game.

I can't figure it out :(

But i remember reading somewhere that playing ps1 game requires "BREAKER PRO" and not swap magic ( the one we've been talking about ), both are cd/dvd to be used .

i took off the ps2 disc tray cover to allow better access to the white knob bit, did all the motions etc.. but in the end my ps2 wouldnt buy it! hmm I live in New Zealand and use a PAL machine. I wonder if that is a factor in my failure to beat the system.
