Minerva's Den is set in the middle of the campaign (one of your objectives in it is to get something to jam Lamb's torpedoes). You play as a seperate Big Daddy named Sigma...just go to Single Player and then Downloadable Content at the bottom (crucial you go to SP screen first). Don't want to spoil the fun for ya. ;)

@scrin992 Oh and if you complete the Protector Trials before doing Minerva's Den, then you get a free Tonic called Master Protector to use in it. Gathers last twice the usual time, but you get more ADAM...pain in the ass when you attempt it on Hard without VitaChambers!! DX

To answer your question regarding the DLC:

(I am basically summarizing what I read on the Bioshock wiki) SMALL SPOILERS

The DLC storyline takes place more or less in parallel (maybe a bit later) to the main story. It follows another alpha series Big Daddy which is recruited by Dr. Tenenbaum after you meet her in the main story and she flees.

I rented Bioshock 1, and I beet it. Had to return it, but borrowed Bioshock 2 from a friend, (he's letting me keep it) beet it. Bioshock 1 is still my favorite game, and I got it back to keep forever and play again from Christmas, thanks mom :)  Long live Bioshock.
