I see the chart on General Aviation at the bottom. General Aviation airplanes have a bad safety record because of pilots treating the little planes like cars...in other words, they are airplane drivers and not pilots.

If you keep proficient and current and follow your training, flying a General Aviation airplane is 10 times safer than a car.

That looks brilliant! I do microlighting from time to time, and I've always wondered what this would be like. I'm sure without an engine for the first few minutes I might feel a bit uncomfortable when up there, but this really does look fantastic.

Oh yes, the higher you fly it can be fuckin cold up there. Especially in iceland, i think ;-)

Yes you have to get a licence everywhere in europe i think. IF you get busted flying without, in germany you have to pay 20 Bugs *lool*

But keep in mind that training in a school is for your own safety!

@Nurr0 I'm a student and I fly hangliders, gliders and paragliders... so it's possible, you just have to spend your money and time(!!!) for the right things and not for booze and nightclubs on weekends ;-)
