Remember this very well - really, really liked it. I loved the idea of "when I die there'll be one child born in this world to carry on". The only thing that just stuck out like a "sore thumb" to me was the reference to bundling up the coffin 'cause it's crazy cold way down there - it's supposed to be HOT DOWN THERE! No prob, "poetic license." I had the song and liked it a great deal. Good post.
@gva0917 I wonder if the "cold down there" reference was to a grave instead? However, the lyrics do also say "cold way down there" as well, as you pointed out. So, who knows for sure.
