  • Go Dan! Best TA ever. ;D

  • Thought it had something to do with the elder scroll series :/

  • @Strikedead444 lol

  • BWAhahahahahahaaaa!!!!!!

  • Where is the rest? It cuts off abruptly.

  • Still makes more sense than Scientology.

  • thumbs up if you read all the side efects at the end

  • ELDER SIGN, ask for it by name!

  • One of the best movies I saw on youtube :D

  • I really like how they have both variations. That was a nice touch.

  • The plumbers alone know the Truth.

  • 1:34 = best part

  • they should air this on tv just for lulz and all the wtfs thered be

  • Lol, I had to pause to read the side effects! Screaming brain? Wandering psyche?

  • I got the dread!

  • Sounds a lot like christianity to me....

  • @jesusisaklingon except the god christians worship wont eat your soul and torment you for eternity just because he loves you

  • 1:31 man i get this look every single time a girl sees my penis, so sick of it.

  • Is it peppermint?

  • "What?"

    "What?"

    "I knew it."

    lol

  • Yum mint :0

  • just got done reading the shadow out of time

  • I cracked up at "and mint."

  • Excellent Lovecraft piece. Check out our Lovecraft items on our channel and website! We are the new producers of the feature film version of At The mountains Of Madness.

  • Obviously the mint flavoured one is superior. Not only does it protect from the vast dreaded unknown while leaving a refreshing scent and taste, but it's clearly the one endorsed by HP Lovecraft

  • I love it :-) well done guys... even the fumbling pacing... it fits... and who gives a XXXX about the labels!.

  • Loved this! Thanks GME!

  • This video is brilliant -- very well done and very funny.

  • Yhe plumber is awesome!

  • absolutley HILARIOUS!! love it!!

  • O-o huh?

  • Amateurs use pentacles Professionals use Elder signs

  • CTHULHU THE GREAT!hes coming back

  • CTHULHU THE GREAT

  • Thumbs up for the Cthulhu figurine.

  • Hail Eris!

I've used Elder Sign for twenty years, and I'm only half-mad! Fhtagn!!

    Snarky

  • I was being plagued by dreams of unknown doors beyond which the mad piping of a thousand damned souls screeching in a harmony so unEuclidean it was giving my frigging _dog_ nightmares. But ever since I started using Elder Sign, I'm able to sleep through the night and enjoy the ever-subtly shortening days under our dying sun until Great Cthulu breaks through and devours all our minds. And my golf handicap is back to normal, although sometimes I break out in mad laughter.

    Thanks, Elder Sign!

    Thanks, Elder Sign!

  • WARNING: Elder Sign can cause drowsiness, nausea, cognitive distortion, diarrhea, prolonged erection, erectile dysfunction, agitation, inflammation, insanity, temporal shifting, wandering psyche, screaming brain, pineal stimulation, spontaneous reanimation, mad arab syndrome, loss of faith, and spotting.

  • @QWERTYqwertzE thanks for typing that up man :)

  • I find that overwhelming feelings of dread are often alleviated by meditation on the Deteriorata and by placing myself on the mercy of the Cosmic Muffin.

    To each his own.

  • You have the tree branch one too. :)

  • 1:33 is the face my wife makes at all lovecraft references

  • lol he gets up and walks aroud the desk just to sit back down

  • 2.03 Mad arab syndrome! XD

  • LOL Do more!

  • This was great and all, but my Elder Sign got erased by cultists.

Wtf do I do now? D:

  • @Dinker27 Can you make a new one? :?

  • who cares what the sign looks like? thats not the point of the video

  • This is one of the first Lovecraft joke vids that was actually funny! You guys kicked it right in the arse!

  • So what happens when the sign is removed by cultists?

  • Hahah! I love the side effects. lol!

  • Scientology?

  • @EnricCirne

    NO D::::

  • To be fair Derleth's Elder Sign looks more like the description in 'Shadows Over Innsmouth' than the one Lovecraft drew in a letter to Clark Ashton Smith. Though it isn't quite a Swaztika it looks more like it than Lovecraft's drawing which looks like a leaf more than anything. It seems Lovecraft changed his mind on what it looked like by the time he described it in a story. I don't see why you can't have both Elder Signs (and more), Lin Carter didn't have a problem with either to his credit.

  • @HimWotMustBeObeyed

Come to think of it the Elder Sign was described as a pentagram in 'At The Mountains of Madness'. So really "Derleth's Elder Sign' is just a depiction of something Lovecraft had in his texts.

  • Derleth's Elder sign is MADE. OF. FAILURE.

Bring the real elder sign back.

  • Amazing videos. Seriously, the black humor in these videos are so hidden behind stuff only true fans would know. Thank you for making these exsist.

  • I love the Dr.'s mug... BEST DAD EVER

  • Comment removed

  • I notice the Doctor is Canadian

  • Nice! Specially a Minteone :-)

  • What if the sign is removed, by, say, cultists?

    Doctor: ;>_>

  • God damn, this is the best thing I have ever seen.

  • @starspawn77 He's right, thats the good elder sign the witch one and the other is the satanist sign.

  • From caverns within the earth, right?

  • @mechanism211 Exactly

  • @mechanism211 exactly

  • love the walking around the desk

  • lol I like those Martindale Hubble LEGAL directories sitting on the shelves in the doctor's office--not something you'd expect to see...

  • Nice flying polyp animation! Very freaky. :)

  • what if the sighn is removed??? well, you may staqrt to feel a bit feverish, and you may notice new limbs and eyes appear. This is normal, and they may help you to see...the errors of your ways. For C'Thluhu cares little about the extra arm and.....

  • the ending was awesome,so was the part where he got up and walked around the desk(with trouble) only to go back to the seat

  • Hey idiot: THAT'S NOT THE F*ING "ELDER SIGN"! Goddamn, you geeks are stupid

  • @starspawn77 Yes it is...?

  • @Nemesis0300 According to Derleth, yes. Not Lovecraft. Put down the phoney "necronomicon" that you found in the astrology/psychics/self-help section of Barnes & Noble, and try actually reading Lovecraft's work. Yes, i was a dork like you once... and then i hit high school and got over it. i really think you do Lovecraft a disservice when you buy into the whole "Mythos is REAL" nonsense.

  • @starspawn77 lolumad?

  • @starspawn77 it's both of them, actually.

  • @badadvicegoodtimes

Actually, the pentagram style Elder Sign was created by August Derleth, whereas the other one, the branch style one, was created by Lovecraft.

    Awesome video, though. I like.

  • @binarynightmare I know.

  • @binarynightmare Which is why I prefer the branch, the original author developed it, not the pastiche guy. Thanks for commenting on this.

  • @binarynightmare he didn't create it.. his subconscious mind was spoken to by those who watch over us..

  • @TheTraveler12 yes, yog sothoth knows all, sees all, and feels all. It knows every experience in the universe to its minutest detail. Only Yog-Sothoth is benevolent to those who exist without harm. When the great old ones plunge from the stars, it is Yog Sothoth who will inevitably banish them back, and the cycle will continue ad infinitum.

  • @starspawn77 >>' there are two elder signs dude.

  • @starspawn77 He's right, thats the good elder sign the witch one and the other is the satanist sign.

  • Awesomeness!

  • Which H.P. Lovecraft Story has the Flying Polyps again? I just got the Necronomicon.

  • @Nemesis0300 is it so hard to use google, you dickfart?

  • Well, you can also protect yourself from Polyps by using the great energy weapon forged by the Yithians.

P.S. Nice video, good use of CGI. But I believe Polyps were very large, like atleast 18 feet tall. Not that they ever grounded but, they were pretty massive. And they were had a mouth from what I remeber reading, thats where they cast the wind from.. and I believe they had many eyes, but were blind.. Now that just what I remeber and interpreted from the stories.. Not my call anyways.

  • I'm coming down with that feeling of dread myself..

    awesome work..

  • I'm coming down with that feeling of dread myself..

    awesome work..

  • That's why you need to keep extra elder signs with you. I recommend tattooing them all over your body.

    Thanks elder sign!

  • I love the part where the doctor walks around the desk for no reason.

  • haha! kudos to lovecraft^^

  • That must be popular among Scientologists.

  • F-u-ucking hilarious! And great production value, too! Subscribe!

  • LOL.... Make more videos!!!

  • May cause ... cognitive distortion ..., prolonged erection, ... insanity, temporal shifting, wandering psyche, screaming brain, pineal stimulation, spontaneous reanimation, mad arab syndrome, ...

    LOL!

  • BEST THING EVER! BWAHAHAHAHA!

  • lol! The plumber knows!!!

  • Of course he knows. I mean, he probably spent half of his career fixing showers and toilets in clubs.

  • @frankdiddly

They have to think of something when they plumb.

  • @frankdiddly this is why they choose plumbers for the classic porn story

they know the entire cosmic make up of the woman before he even sees her

  • I want some.

  • Despite the best efforts of those damnable cultists, I saw this at the Seattle Sci-Fi Film Festival on Saturday. The audience loved it.

    Thanks Elder Sign!

  • Wow, you guys are doing amazing work! Another 5 star video.

    ia ia Cthulhu fhtagn,

    Venger As'Nas Satanis

    Cult of Cthulhu High Priest

  • This is so fantastic. Well-written, wonderfully acted, perfectly edited. The plummer rocks.

  • I love this one. I need to put an elder sign on my baseball bat.

  • YES! STUCK THE LANDING!

i was loving it, then i seen you used the wrong elder sign...then "available in mint" FUCK YEAH! and just as i was clapping..."what if the elder sign is removed, say by cultists *abrupt end*" NICE!

may the old ones kill you quickly good sir

  • these are fantastic. bravo, i say. someone should give you a damn TV show.

  • The understated exasperation of the woman at 1:32 is absolute genius.

  • i love this :) And you even worked in both designs (I've always favored the leaf-shaped one)

  • Elder Sign, from the makers of Yellow Sign.

  • this awesomely funny

  • Thanks Elder Sign!

  • The Comedy Geek says "F'tagn!"

LOL, very well done. I thought the ending was alittle weak, and some of the pacing choices were dubious. But overall a very well done and on-style parody.

    A solid 4 out of 5 non-aligned stars.

  • Well, the pacing isn't as laser-like as say The Frantics . . .

  • This was one of the better shorts at the EERIE HORROR FILM FESTIVAL. I hope to see more from ya in the future. I also like how it's just a description of Scientology.

  • Thanks - sincerely appreciate your support. Have you seen The Necronomicon?

  • I haven't yet, but I will right NOW. SLAUGHTER FILM is something a friend and I started, reviewing horror movies. he and I were thinking about doing a E.H.F.F. review next year.

  • Brilliant. Definitely a pharmaceutical I can get behind.

  • Amazing, & veru well done. Ia, Ia, and all that!

  • BWAH HA HA HA HA HA! Did you submit this to the HP Lovecraft Film Festival?

  • Yes we did!

  • Amazing and hillarious. 5 stars!

  • that was brilliant.

  • Plumbers, always so philosophical about these things.

  • Which story are the spores form? I just started to read H.P. Lovecraft and after seeing this I kinda want to get to the spore story so I won't keep expecting them.

  • @NowhiStarkiller

Ive read quite a few of them (every novel i could get my hands on) and they havent appeared in the flesh yet. They are mainly hinted at in ancient books and such. Cant speak for other authors of the mythos tho, i've only read HPL.

  • Colour Out of Space? It's meteor and "radiation sickness"

  • I believe they're mentioned in "The Shadow out of Time" since they're supposed to be the mortal enemies of the Yithians, but I'm not sure.

  • They are included in "The Shadow Out of Time" by Lovecraft. The main character enters the body of one of the Yithians and learns about one of the giant walls that hold the Flying Polyps inside the Earth.

  • Ha...that was great.

  • Do anyone know were I can buy a cthulhu statue like show @ 1:57?

  • I got that one from Toy Vault but it is now out of print.

  • Be warned that they are as expensive as shit right now too. Me, I settled for a plush of the great cyclopean terror.

  • Do anyone know were I can buy a statue of Cthulhu, as show @ 1:57?

  • This ROCKS! I love it.

  • dose Elder Sign work on mi-go?

  • Extra Strength does.

  • the creatures sound like something from h.p. lovecraft, which is not a bad thing

  • They are from Lovecraft.

  • i dont understand

  • son, i am disapoint

  • hahahahha

  • the plumber throws an extra thats in the opening that makes what he says actually not make sense hahh. the * should have been excised

"we actually fail to see that* the cosmic dread that lurks beyond the veil of human consciousness"

but really what a minor quibble! this is absolutely fantastic. i'll be showing my players it after we finish up Masks :D

  • He is actually stuttering on the word "the."

  • this is absolute genius!!!

  • I love the way you used both of the signs!

  • LOL This is great.

I keep an Elder Sign on my cubicle at work...and nobody gets the reference :/

  • Except that fishy-smelling guy with the googly eyes from Accounting won't come near your desk.

  • The stars are right...all five of them!

  • Zalgo is Fthagen's wannabee cousin.

  • Zaaalgo... HE COMES!

  • He shall Come. And his Come shall be our gift to the COME God!

  • I've etched the blue doudecimal sign of Y'grack the appalling damnation of anger into my forehead with a nail steeped in the blood of a goat who has never seen the light. It's an established homeopathic cure and it works! don't give your money to these elder sign hacks! Ia Ia Ia!

  • H̴̢ͫͧͥ̑͏̝͍͓͉̤͇ĕ̸̢ͬͮ̈ͮ̏̿͋́͊ͮͭ̂҉͔̫͈͕͇ ͖̳̩͍̖̳̜̪͎̭ͬ͑̀̽͂̓̀̊ͣ̅̆͡c̈̅̓̾̌͐̍ͦ̌̕҉͍̤̳͔̺͙̙̬̦̝Ő̡͎̣̰̟̤̻͗̈͆̀̃̃ͪ͂̕͜͠M̢̧̮̮̱͈̥̞̭̬͉͇̖̬̲̟̝͈̺͙̎̔͌̒͒̊͛͒͠E̅̏ͯͤ͒͗͂ͯ̊ͧͮ̍̽̆ͥ҉̀͏̡̥̥̤̬͇̯͠ͅş̵̈́ͬ̓͋̎͋̄͠҉̫͖̞͇͚͟ͅ

  • Zalgo is not Lovecraftian.

  • I agree.

  • Alas, the mystery of the conflicting signs is solved...mint ROFL! Yet another great entry to this Cthulhu Mythos series. Yet another one of your films to be added to my Favorites list.

  • I like the awkward counter clockwise and pointless circuit of the desk. And is it just me or is the tennis player a little like Frankie Muniz?

  • "And IS IT JUST ME or is the tennis player a little like Frankie Muniz?"

I don't know. How much like Frankie Muniz are you?

  • who the fuck is Frankie Muniz ?

  • I love the Mint, the little tree

  • Warning: May cause severe side effects if taken in conjunction with a "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh C'thulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" suppository

  • O.O

  • Ok, this is great. Thank you Elder Sign!

  • Love the totally pointless jaunt around the desk, just like in real ads.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, Scientology in a nutshell!

Seriously, though, what happens if the sign is removed, and how can it be removed?

  • well, those would be some dead cultists, that's for sure

  • I guess that would leave you unprotected to the mercy of ancient, unmercyful gods. That is why we don't like them cultists!

  • Sometimes I feel like there is a reality that coexists with ours, but that we're so caught up with trivial concerns we actually fail to see that the cosmic dread lurks beyond the veil of human consciousness. *shrugs*

    LOL SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lul....

  • Lul....

  • HAHAHA this is beautiful!

    Lovecraft lives on!

  • Thanks, Elder Sign!

  • The plumber made me laugh the hardest.

  • "So, what if the sign is removed by, say, cultists?"

    "..."

    Simply awesome :)))

Great job, thank you so much for creating and uploading this!

  • This is great:D

  • this is the very definition of epic win.
