My Ustad's ustad, a genius. A beautiful and leisurely vilambat gat. Zakir Hussain is a superlative master of tabla, but I found his left-wrist antics a bit distracting.

A masterpiece indeed! Ustad Rais Khan never failed to mesmerize his audience. Sitar is as wonderful an instrument as great its inventor I mean Hazrat Ameer Khurao.

I know that, one of Zakirji's best student is a women(anuradha pal), shes amazing. I didnt write that comment in negative context to women, i just meant that, his lineage are all men who played tabla, and now its not, thats all.
