  • God...I LOVE this car!!!

I had a slot-car model (Monogram) of it in 1966/67 - wish I still had it today as they cost a fortune....if you can find one.

Current prize is a Carousel 1 model and I cherish that almost as much. :)

Fabulous to see that it has been fired up again. Superb!

  • We are currently making a 1:8 scale model of the Winning Lotus Type 38 as driven by Jim Clark. On our profile there is video of when we did a 3d scan of the car at Classic Team Lotus.

  • The winning car is on permanent display at the Indy 500 museum. Well worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood. Bring a camera, you can stand very close to the cars.

  • Was marshalling at Goodwood Festival and actually got to touch it as well as see it. One of the most beautiful racing cars ever, seeing Jackie Stewart driving it wearing a replica of Clark's helmet as well was a fantastic sight.

  • Stunning!

  • It's great to have Classic Team Lotus still going. Keeping these cars in working order. They have restored & maintained a fully working car of each model of Lotus. From the very first, to the very last, they have them all.

  • "first time it's moved in 45 years"... bet it moved a lot quicker with Jimmy at the wheel ;-)

  • hello Walter Goodwin from Alex at Can-Am Cars ltd St.Louis MO USA , I have been lucky enough to hang out with Walter at Indy 2009 and 2010 and to hear the stories of times when race cars were just that ... race cars , - great car , great video , good times , Goodwood

  • Stunning, absolutely stunning......

    thanks for sharing.

  • The glorious sound of the Ford Cammer. I love it!

  • It is THE Holy Grail of all racing cars.....JYS is the ideal man to drive it, but i would have liked Dan Gurney to sample the car also & you know, i think Dario Franchitti is now very worthy of a mention too......

  • Awesome!!!

  • Jimmy Clark, Jackie Stwart and a beautifuly restored Lotus in british racing green, it just doensn't get any better than that!

    Thanks for posting!

  • @alexQw33 My sentaments exactly. The Flying Scot, Lotus, and John Young Stewart are the best of the best!

  • Jimmy Clark would very much approve of Jackie Stewart driving his type 38

  • One of the most beautiful cars ever built. I was lucky enough to get autographs in '65 from Jim Clark and Colin Chapman.

  • Fantastic!!

  • wow.
