The part about them ripping off their shirts weeelll..... Really they shouldn't be 'causing us to lust after them on the other side we shouldn't be allowing ourselves to lust after them. Depends, I guess, on your self control and how much you can handle before you can't help but lust. They obviously aren't thinking about us lusting when they take off their shirts though. All they're thinking about is how hot it is up there on stage under the lights running around and jumping. You would get hot.
Yeah, by what I've heard of them and by what I've heard from interviews with them, nothing would make me think that the decision was made by them OR their parents. Poor guys. It's probably Disney. Disney doesn't really like Christians...Anyway I was wondering if Brio magazine is still selling 'cause I tried to order it but I couldn't.
This video wasn't intended to call out the Jonas Brothers on not talking about their purity rings and neither was the article in Brio. We can understand why they wouldn't want to talk about purity rings but being a Christian is so much more than that. I respect your opinion but I just wanted to set things straight, we are not condemning the Jonas Brothers for not wanting to talk about their purity rings
The guys have spoken about the rings enough, In almost every account of the Jonas Brothers, they talk about the rings. Here's what I say; "If you wanna learn more about purity rings, LOOK IT UP!! They're not the only people who have them y'know!!" and I also say, "They have a rule not to speak about their personal lives."
No offence to anyone who likes, agrees with, or is affiliated with Brio Magazine.
you do realize Hollywood records pretty much controls their every move now right? Hollywood records has them on a little leash, they wont talk about their faith again until they are off hollywood records. Everlife [another christian band] didn't get to talk about their faith much at all when they were signed to Hollywood records, so they left.
yeah they couldnt have made that decision. they probably had to do something else and their publisist made some stupid excuse or SOMETHING like that. idk. but yeah they should be in it.
I wish they would sing Christian music! (idk if they do or not..i don't really listen to them..i have but only 2 songs on my ipod)..they are so popular already..i bet they would convert people to Christianity if they turned to the Christian genre =)
ohh they are christians... i have like living proof.. lol umm my youth pastor used to live in NJ and nick would always lead worship for him and stuff and they were in the adult choir and and yeahh and ive heard them say it tooo
yea,but think about it 4 a sec.maybe, there's a reason they weren't in that mag.like, maybe god didn't ant me 2 be in it.idk.maybe,it's not really a christian mag.u never really know.and just about the world knows the jb r christians so yea.besisdes,i mean,we all know that they pray b4 every concert!and it's not like they stopped wearing purity rings.ther was this 1 guy,and he wasn't even really a christian,he was a hyprocrite!!what i'm trying 2 say is that mayb they didn't wana snd like....
fake christians.and they must not b ashamed of bing 1 b/c there's footage of them praying b4 concerts!!if they weren't true christians, they would b like,"don't show every1 that we were praying b4 the concert b/c i don't want any1 2 know!"but they don't!they just don't wana tlk about they're purity rngs 4 a while and 2 tell u the truth, i dnt rlly blme them!!they're very brave 2 tell every1 they're christians and REALLY act like it b/c usually celebs wouldn't do that b/c alot of people.....
(continued 4rm last coment read my oldest 1 1st)don't like christians.and yea, they're trying 2 convice people 2 become a christian but,u can tell they're real christians b/c they're not trying 2 force they're religon on people!and maybe they thought that if they kept tlkin bout it,they would snd like hyprocits.
look,if u dnt agree w/me,then i could care less!!send me a hate comment or w/e!!but i'm telling u the truth 4rm my point of view!!
I disagree. As Christians we are supposed to talk about our faith and tell people about Jesus. That does not mean shoving your religion down peoples throats though. You can talk about Jesus and not sound like you should be giving a sermon at church.
no,that's not what i'm saying at all!i'm just saying that just b/c they're not screaming about it on their rooftop doesn't make them any less-christian.besides,they might've wanted wanted to do it,but they're publicist might've said they didn't want to,b/c their publicist might be an asshole.
hey i get brio too! but since im 17 years old, i get brio and beyond (hopefully tehy would show the interview in both) so im hoping that if we work together we can find out how to reach them. dont comment or message their myspace. because their publicist control that too. its pretty sad and we can tell.
I am willing to work with you girls and do anything we can! i know this was in july.. but im still in!
and b/c they're "christians" they would probably love to speak out to christian teens!
I felt the same way when I read that!!! I was so mad. Why can't they talk about it? Brio is a christian magazine. But, Hopefully they will change there mind:)
i love that magazine! i read that 2! thats pretty stupid they wont talk about their Christianity! its a Christian magazine come on! grr! wen i read that i got rele mad cuz y wood u not talk about that wit a Christian magazine!
p.s the shirt thing didnt dissapoint me either! lol ;)
I'm sure the would if the questions about their personal life and Christianity and wearing Purity rings didn't go out control like it did in the UK and some other places prior to that.
I don't blame them.
They will probably do a interview soon after those personal questions stop being asked.
i think we should bombard their myspace and youtube page. I like their music and theyre cute and everything but i really like them so much cuz theyre Christians and i really respected that they were so close to God and when i found this out i just got really upset
the reason why they wont talk about their purity rings is because in one interview with kevin the intervier went to far and their publicist had to stop the interview. (if you want to see the interview search for WSNX interview with Kevin Jonas (Part 2) on youtube)
i agree with you guys. if they are christians they shouldnt be scared to share their faith. you could try and send them messages on myspace or something.
yes..i do think the jonas brothers are reserved about their faith..that's not always a bad thing but i wish they would be more open in their music or something..when you are a Christian and you have the opportunity to minister to thousands of people..why not take advantage of that? or at least give God the glory for your sucess?
i mean, in like, EVERY interview, they get asked about their purity rings. EVERY INTERVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!
they probably told their publicist that they didnt want anymore questions about that. so when they sent them questions their publicist said no questions about their purity rings.
me TOO!!..i was so mad when i read that this month..i'm so disappointed in them..i wish it was just their publicist saying that..but sadly i kind of doubt that..but it would definatly be AWESOME if they had an interview in brio. they claim their christians but it seems like their so reserved about their faith..i wish that could change!
I get brio too, and I was sooooooo disapointed when I saw this "dear susie" response! I think it's awesome that the JB's wear the rings, and I want to know more about it! like how they stay pure in the entertainment world. I want to give a shout out to the girls that made this vid., it's awesome, and if ya can, go to the JB myspace and post the video! luv ya guys
yeah. I read that and was really upset too. I think they do not want to talk about their personal like cause then there will be different gossip about this that and the other thing. They also probably do not make those decisions. The whole ripping the parts of shirts off. I do not think that is wrong. What ever. That is all i have to say. Maybe we should make an online petition or something of the sort.
i(lacey) read brio too and i read that in the magazine. im as disappointed as u are. i already commented their youtube page. i don't know what else we can do. *lacey*
maybe if we just like comment the jonas brothers on myspace and stuff and ask them if they really said this, because i dont think they would say they dont want to talk about their purity rings, because they said in recent interviews that they want to be a good example. but sometimes people who interview them make it all awkward when they do talk about their purity rings, so i can understand if they did say that but im pretty sure they wouldnt say something like that.well i sure hope not....
hey, is it alright if i post a comment on the JB myspace and put the link to your video in a comment so maybe they can see it or other people who might have something we can do?
SO i was somewhat ticked about that
