i had the same problem but now its reduced.. just adjust the brigtness ..hope this help

I had this on a DS.
Sorry, but, you're screwed.
Some display wires are disconnected, and when you press the power button enough, it pushs the wires back, temporarily.
Why you're screwed: That same DS is now in 2 pieces. Top screen and bottom. So... Yah. Get a new one.
