@jimbo69secret The world's tallest woman on record was a Chinese girl named Zeng Jinlian who was little over eight feet tall. She died in 1982 at only 17 years of age.
Although I am not familiar with Sandy, he once came to Taiwan for the Guiness World record, and I took a picture with her.. it's about 13 years ago... after that day, I almost forgot... and I just picked up the memory today, and I search for her information, I found that I still remember her...and she is already dead... I must say ... Rest in peach... Ms.Sandy.
All of my comedy aside, i'm from Shelbyville, Indiana and i have met Sandy on many occations. She was an amazing woman, who was a HUGE inspiration to me. I only wish i had taken the time to tell her that to her face. I know that i will see her again in heaven.
I thought she was very pretty when she was younger. And how amazing it is when people stand beside her. They are Sooo tiny, especially the women! Most look like little children...
I just read that she passed away. She certainly lived life with a great attitude. I respected her. She deserves much peace now. Thank you for sharing this tribute with us.
She passed away on August 13th this year. If you google hear name, it will show her lifespan. I didn't even know she died until I looked it up. When I saw this video "Remembering Sandy Allen" that made me curious to look it up.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Sandy several years ago and she was a funny, loving, amazing woman. May she rest in peace. Thanks for this tribute.
That was a very nice tribute! Where did you find those wonderful pictures! I liked the one of Sandy in the wedding gown, I didn't realize she had married.
Thanks. That picture was located on a fan site with no description or attribution. I can find no reference to her ever marrying, so I am not sure what that was about.

Lovely. A fitting tribute for such an amazing woman whose legacy of tolerance goes beyond the tall, to anyone who's a little bit different.
