  • i like your playing,very nice.

    the mic sounds like shit

maybe better mic placement would help

    maybe treat your walls

    but still really,really bad sound

  • I have the Same Mic, i bought it last week, and i am really happy, sound iss so loud and clear "cristal clear" and it give your voice 1 to 1 back

  • mm very nice sound... does give a hiss in the sound though, what interface did you hook it onto? I'm thinking of buying this too, gonna hook it up to a MOTU 896 Original, should be ok with no noise or hiss! Very warm and clean sound considering the far away placement of this mic in your video though. Promises good things...

  • @Linkolytus the preamp is an M-Audio DMP3, so yes I bet the MOTU should do right by you.

  • what song? if you made it, have you uploaded the full version? :D

  • @adam1611 thanks, just a short demo of mine, I don't have a full version in my head yet!

  • The sound is very warm but do you notice noise while recording?

  • @TeTRoSeX no noise as a fault of the mic. It depends on ambient noise, mic placement and most of all your mic preamp - how high is the gain/sensitivity, does the preamp itself hiss or is it brittle, etc.

  • @Jahnli Alright, thank you :)

  • I don't really hear much quality in the recording.

My built-in mic on my macbook sounds better. Maybe you just didn't mix/eq it right?

  • doesnt sound tat great, or ,most likely of youtube sound quality.

  • is this mic better then a AKG 420??

  • @D40Oz1 hmm not sure, never tried that mic. The C1 hasn't let me down yet though!

  • you're really good playing the guitar mate

  • I just got the C-1 mic the other day and there is so much excess noise. Do you know what this might be?

  • is your mic preamp turned too high? try bringing the mic input down that way, you can vol boost post signal via garageband, etc.

  • I use the behringer phantom power and it goes right into my 4track... so I dont know.

  • Is it the Micropower PS400? If so I found this review, showing that the Behringer introduces a lot of noise. You can try an MAudio DMP3, which is fine for giving clean phantom power. PS400 Review: This power supply works ok in the 48 volt position, but has a very loud hum in the 12 volt position...I am sure the voltage is dropping too low in the 12 volt position

  • its preamp noise

  • @darkdesignband Make sure phantom power is turned on and you have a reasonable level at your preamp. Other than that, could be a bad mic cable or there could be something wrong with your particular mic. You might want to make sure the -10/-20db pad is set to off .

  • @YoDudeRock The phantom power united was bad. I bought a decent mixer and it works fine now.

  • I want a 12 string now after watchin this, good stuff dude

  • that sound so good

    how much did it cost??

    i wanna buy one

    thanx

  • You can grab one a little under $200 new, and used somewhere between $125-150 I've found.

  • what is better studio projects c1 or akg perception 220

    thx

  • sorry don't have experience with that mic, but i do like large condenser mics like the C1.

  • ok thx

  • very good !!!

  • maybe getting a preamp would help?

  • nice. may i know the song name? Or is it your own tune?

  • Thanks, it's my own tune I made to make a quick demo!

  • for there price thay cant be tuched if you can take your c1 and ab a rode with it on guitar bring a cheep recorder do a rif with your ci and there rode hooked up record it raw then listen for the highs and low distortion and then make a mic challange is it the RODE NT-1A OR THE C1 MAN THAT WOULD BRING IN THE VIEWERS THE TEST COUD BE DONE AT GUITAR CENTER OR SAME ASH NOW THAT WOUD BE KILLER MAN....

  • ID LOVE TO HEAR THIS DONE WITH A RODE NT-1A ANY CHAnce??

  • Don't have a Rode but I know those are great large diaphragms for sure!

  • goood skills bro !! what guitar j45 ... ?

  • This one is a '69 Guild F312, a rosewood minijumbo 12-string. The other demo indeed had a '46 Gibson J-45!

  • I swear by the C1.. nice choice! If you have the means, try doing a stereo close micing on your guitar with the C1 near the 12th fret and another mic somewhere on the body and pan them hard left and right. It sounds amazing!

  • Great guitarist .. liked the piece. Cool sound

  • Pretty nice song, amazingly played, and really crisp sound... :P
