Sometimes I think I am living in the 1950's, mothers should stay at home , If you have children thats your fault etc etc.

I think a decent civil society should provide subsidised childcare, decent healthcare and education before bombs, building new prisons and creating a criminal underclass. This country is fininshed and its not because of immigration or single mothers. It is because of the greedy, selfish nature of its citizens and politicians

Let me make this easy for you LibDem, in a modern civilised society, childcare should be ZERO, ZILCH, NADA.

It is not the responsibility of taxpayers to raise children. This responsibility lies with parents, if they cannot cope, this is their fault, not Fred's, who works part-time in a cornish pasty shop in Truro village... etc

If citizens want to provide financial assistance, there is nothing wrong with this, but IT IS CHARITY and thus absurd to force payment.

It is really about getting mothers back to work at the cost of the children, so mothers can bring in tax money for the Government.

It is about £££, and Gov only see children as a future tax payer.

Yet, the Government pay foster carers £400 per week and more, so why the huge difference, as it is the same child.

Child care is so poor because it is often the low achievers who go into those jobs.

I mean you see so called carers of children hanging around the centres outside smoking a fag and behaving most inappropriately.

Is that what our children deserve.

Let child carers have proper degrees like in Norway, before being allowed near children.

A child only has one mother and her role is to look after her own children, until they are 4 yrs old.

All mothers should be paid like they are in France until the child is 4.

Corporate Parenting has proven to be useless, because child care is too institutionalised.

When I came here as a teacher, I was shocked at how children are demonised by society.

Hitler also preached every child mattered, and we know what he did to children.

3) Stop persecuting single mothers

4) Ask Jack Straw why a pedophile was allowed to influence a 2005 consultation on child protection law

Probably not what you want to here but it is my view that parents should provide care for their own children.

They don't want to bring up their own kids they want someone else to do it for them?!

All these things are what the parents should be doing. It's unhealthy for strangers to be parenting young children like that.

I'm not paying for nanny's for other peoples kids, I'm moving to Canada.

Single mothers NEED this support why don't you see that they get it fist?!

Create a Briton that makes people WANT and NEED to WORK.

Its hardly allowing a "stranger" to parent a young child. Childcare is not a 24hr job and is for a few years. Those in childcare are usually in there for less hours than a schoolday. I don't suppose you moan that schooling is allowing children to be parented by strangers?

How do you expect them to do both at the same time? Take their child to work?

And what's with the Canada comment? Canada have this same system.
