I bought it, and it certainly had some pieces which came broken. it was factory sealed!! but since it's no longer made I didn't find any spare parts, though there are two arm pieces broken, I can still transform it due to its magnet system so it's not so bad. The thing is being a collector you're not going to play with as if you were a child, so I guess it's a minor thing that can be fixed with some glue after all

you can download playstation 3 video games totally free. Simply Google "ps3 zappy download" - it's the very first link. I downloaded tons of games and it's and they are good! There are ton's of ps3 games on the "ps3 zappy download" website!!
I got it for a mere 5,000 Yen on sale clearance and Ive seen it for as little as 3,000 Yen in Akiba. The reason being as it is VERY poorly designed. The shoulders attach to the main body by VERY weak magnets, the human pilot's arms snap off easily at the shoulders and the right hand CANNOT hold the rifle. The quality feels like a cheap knock-off. Save your money for a Macross, Gundam or Masterpiece Transformer instead of this piece of overpriced crud.
When I got mine long ago, the pegs where the shoulders/wheels form snapped off. Then later the whole arm assembly right at the rotating point between the shoulder and elbow snapped off.
A common problem with the original MZ23Part1 Garland. However the Factory Garland and Soldier color are refitted with 2.0 shoulders so it should be fixed. And as stated in this guys other review, the Protogarland from MZ23.2 is perfect. I recommend the Protogarland versus this.
I checked yamoto usa Sold Out ....); is there gonna be any more ? and when and how else could I get one other then ebay (ebay isnt the best for figures)
Dear Collection DX or anybody else whose a toy collector,
I have a problem. I own one of those Macross Valkyries on an 1/48 scale, but I've lost the detachable nosecone that covers the radar. Do you know whether or not if Yamato Toys offers replacement parts for a fee if I call the Yamato USA subsidary office? Does Yamato offer replacement parts at all? Any suggestion will be most appreciated. Thank you.
Yamato USA will only offer replacement parts to toys sold in the USA - valkyries are japanese only. If you can get someone who speaks Japanese perhaps they can ask Yamato Japan?
Thanks Josh. I like your reviews very much. In fact, when I want to buy a diecast but am somewhat undecided, I look at your reviews and the deal is done. I look forward to your review of the Yamato Galaxy Cyclone Bryger.
UPDATE: Got it online from Beta Toys for $90 with free shipping! It came today, and it looks sweet on my shelf next to my Bandai VF-1S Super Valkerie reissue. Well worth the $90 I spent!
Thanks for the review man, otherwise I would not have ordered it.
great review and commentary. I like the part of the video where you did not even gingerly transform the Garland and it shows how you man hadndled it! :-)

PLUS the parts snap off REALLY easily, like the head when you transform it. AVOID THIS FIGURE!

Is the figure joints extremely loose and do you think the metal bars will ever break in time ?

Man, what holds the shoulders in place? Wishfull thinking, everytime you moved it the shoulders came out of place. Love the hands though.

The plastic is brittle crap. The arm fell off of mine...and it was barely handled. Gold Plastic Syndrome - minus the gold.

Great review. Please do one for Yamato Macross Plus YF-19 Valkyrie 1/60 Robotech. Really couldn't decide if it's worth $200...

I want, but not for $100 with no die-cast! Bought a 1/60 Yamato Ichijiro YF Valkerie, such poor quality plastic...
I am skeptical about the "high quality" plastic on that thing...but looks to be a well-engineered design despite this...
Great review man.
