An inverter is basically a red stone torch on the side of any brick. in this case you would put it on the side of an elevated brick facing away from the pressure plates. Thumbs up so everyone can see.

You didn't really show us a repeater (the block). The block reapeter is just a block, in fact, half of a block, so it doesn't go two blocks high.

@StormProductionzZ The inverter converts the power from on to off and off to on, and the repeater or extender, is just 2 inverters put together as one. Its pretty easy if you play around with it... :p
