I would love to get one of these, buy they seem really sensitive in simulator, right now I am doing MILD 3D with the MCP-X, and that is really fun. I had a trex 450 at one point but I am a shitty builder so the thing had a failure, and got totalled against my fence :(. should I get a 250 ? are the hard to build and hard to fly ?
If this person actually paid $2000 for it in USD than he's an idiot. I could make a descent 450 for under $150 including receiver.(no hardcore 3d). for all you saying it's impossible to make one cost that much I disagree. Use a turbo prop micro jet engine (yes they exist), full ceramic ball bearings, top of the line servos($100 each), have all metal parts custom machined from titanium(including bolts), everything else is carbon and name brand. That should about do it. lol!!
@PorcupinePower i'd prefer starting with a 450er t-rex. the 250 is good too, but I myself started with a 450 and even that was hard for me. Now I'm flying a 600er ESP and I'm soo happy with it. For starting a flybarlesssystem is also very useful, becuase the helicopter gets more stable!
hey i have a blade msr i can fly it when i master it can i get this heli i want something aerobatic if this heli isnt good for me what is any sudgestions?
@lamborghinicorvette i fly my 250 on a futaba 6j, with hk motor, esc, battery, and servos. it flies really nice, has plenty of power (i have to limit throttle to 60% when i fly in my school gym so as to not slam the ceiling) and only cost me about $200 including transmitter and charger. i could have it work fine for $150 if i used a turnigy 9x. you must have a heli made out of solid diamond and a transmitter made of mur to get a 250 size heli up to $2000
@YourFriendlyMe depends what you have for equipment already... but the Blade 400 RTF kit is a pretty good deal for what you get... although make sure you check the e-flight video on how to 'mellow out' the chopper so you can learn to fly it easier. Going from a mSR to a collective pitch heli is a BIG JUMP.
I can't ever get over how people laugh when the heli hits the ground. If I chip a blade, I'm pissed at myself (typically b/c it's me being a dumbass).
Wow this is great! You are determined to land it upside down hoooaa. Ahh if you are tired flying it, i'll be more than happy to accept it hehehe. Very good flying skills.
uhhh.... buy a HK 250GT and save yourself the money

@lamborghinicorvette
2000 for a 450? are all the screws nasa-approved? no serious, my brother has a 700 nitro with many tuning parts assembled for about 2000.

That guy is an idiot.. the TREX 250 is very stable and with proper radio setup, and training gear makes a good trainer.
I recommend the CoptorX 250SE, the kit is only $60, and just as good as the Align 250SE
LimeyRacingTX 2 years ago
get this! align makes the best helis out. or get a gaui 200. but the trex is mor durable so id go with the trex

I use the Align 850Mah packs. works fine:)
SoooondreF 3 years ago
Oh.. thanks! 20c or 25c? with idle on mine speed control of the cut in the engine with 1min of flight. some tip?
djvferrari 3 years ago
I run think it is 20c? I just fly the original Align packs.
It's hard to answer. There could be many reasons. Might be something wrong with the esc or the esc setup.

It depends what setup you run. Around 400-500$ without transmitter and reciever.
