    and the clarity... sax ,,,,

  • very well produced on vynl

  • House on the Hill was perhaps my favourite LP from the seventies. And Nancy was up there with the best.Still listen to it quite regularly.

Also listen to I put a spell on you ,its brilliant.

  • Ah good old Audience, what memories,me and Martin on the boat between Fahan and Rathmullan and the two girls we met there, great summer '71,great music, great scenery, great craic,God Bless all, aodhan

  • So great to hear this album again. They were/are awesome. One of my favorite albums when I was young. Thanks for posting this.

  • wow...just heard this for the 1st time today on sirius deep tracks... wow is all i can think to say...how did i miss them?

  • Talented, original and relatively unknown. . . that is AUDIENCE. Four guys with a sound that I don't think has ever been copied by anyone in the nearly 40 years since this LP ( and the follow-up, LUNCH ) came out. Both, by the way, were produced by Gus Dudgeon. . . who also produced all of Elton John's "classic" albums. Nice to see that there are a few thousand of us who still remember these guys. Thanks for the post.

  • Brilliant!

  • Audience was one of the best most creative late British invasion bands ever. They were among Hipgnosis' first album cover clients. Hipgnosis did the best covers ever. Check out this unofficial website of a collection of Hipgnosis album art and covers. Can't seem to post the link but try Hipgnosis Covers . com

  • @OrangeLadyFilms i like um

  • @Urgentag86

Damn! I should have kept my eyes open. I shall be looking...!

  • Man, I played this to death in the 70s and 80s, and here we are again. STILL no CD - so thanks, rezident!

  • no offense gooblemonster09 , usually the younger gen. likes there "chronologic era" type of music, I too had my issues with MOM & DADS music .....LOL

  • Waited for it, and bought it when it came out and still love it now~

  • I read somewhere that Howard Werth was on the Doors' list of possible replacements for big J Morrison. Would've been weird...

  • They had the best album covers.

  • great album...

I had it as present when I was 17 or so... simply great!

  • This is the sountrack to a hot summer in 71, my cousins in Scotland bought this album and played it non stop. Great memories. great music!

  • Oh I havent got this tune out of my head for 40 years and at last I found you again!! xx

  • what shall I say.... I was at school and a friend introduced me to this band... was in 1974 or so.... and now, 36 years later I am sitting in front of my laptop and hear music from my youth.... that's cool.... isn't it

  • This is one great song. I plugged it in hoping for a live performance from these guys. But the song alone is a treat. Even the album cover is fantastic.

  • thanks for posting this! have it on VINYL but have not been able to listen to for 20years!!!

  • excellent album! and yes these kids today!

  • I will Never forget this band or album ! I feel young hearing this ~

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you. I got this blastin all over the house.

  • these kids today could'nt even begin to understand......... thats all !!

  • @winstonsmkr Yep. That's all. What else can you say? Stay cool.

  • @winstonsmkr

    Don't even start!

My parents showed me the ways of true rock and I am forever greatful

I'm 21 now, but when I was a kid (when my parents insisted on playing this and many others) I used to tell them to turn their "gay"music off

Now I love surprising everyone with the bands and music that I know.

Rock, soul and blues go so far and beyond ACDC, deep purple, led zepplin, pink floyd etc

I can't understand why this band doesn't have the rep that others do

  • even most grown ups ( what ever that means ) don't get this....

    p.s. I'm 36 & it's one of our faves
