Do a little research on 2009 king ranch f-150 and a 2009 limited tundra, which one would you buy? look at all the specs, including tow ratings and brake sizes, everything, tell me you wouldn't choose a 382hp, 401lb torque tundra vs 325 hp f-150. the fact that tundras have 15 in brakes is amazing
first of all the ford has a better crash test rating. the tundra's box has too much movement when going over bumps. they use a c-frame, not a boxed-frame like the f-150, ram, and silverado. but i do like the new dodge ram. with its 5.7L V8 HEMI with 390hp and 407 ft lbs of torque with only a OHV valve train. toyota needs a DOHC valve train. toyotas are worst trucks on gas. the 09' ram 1500 with the hemi gets about 25/26mpg on the highway. yota's get like 22/23 mpg on the highway.

because they are more affordable than chevy's, dodges's, and toyotas. the base tundra is $3000 more than a base ford f-150, so of course people will buy a cheaper product, or a product they can afford. Do a little research on 2009 king ranch f-150 and a 2009 limited tundra, which one would you buy? look at all the specs, including tow ratings and brake sizes, everything, tell me you wouldn't choose a 382hp, 401lb torque tundra vs 325 hp f-150. the fact that tundras have 15 in brakes is amazing

first of all the ford has a better crash test rating. the tundra's box has too much movement when going over bumps. they use a c-frame, not a boxed-frame like the f-150, ram, and silverado. but i do like the new dodge ram. with its 5.7L V8 HEMI with 390hp and 407 ft lbs of torque with only a OHV valve train. toyota needs a DOHC valve train. toyotas are worst trucks on gas. the 09' ram 1500 with the hemi gets about 25/26mpg on the highway. yota's get like 22/23 mpg on the highway.

the f-150 is the supposedly "best selling truck of the year" for 31 years because GM has the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado and ford only has the F-series of pickups....so GM's sales get sort of split between the 2 lines of pickups...which added together greatly outsell ford EVERY YEAR....................if it was that much of a concern to GM they would have dropped the GMC line years ago...

For many reasons, i believe this video is absolute biased crap. The 5.4L is weak, i've driven alot of them and they just lacked the throttle response, the torque or the horsepower to hustle that truck around like it should.
BTW, The "old tech" pushrod 5.3L GM V8 with it's 16 valves makes more power with less displacement. Now what does that say for a Ford. The only F-150 i would buy is those previous to the 97-98 year model.

Anyone who buys or rates a pickup based on how fast it goes is a COMPLETE MORON! Trucks are meant to haul, tow, go offroad and work etc. What good is a fast truck if the rest of it is cheap junk. There is a think called VALUE which is more important than going fast, and the Ford has plenty of it. There is a reason it has been the best selling truck and vehicle for over 2 decades. 5.7 Tundras can hit 60 in around 6 seconds; the new Rams can hit it in less than 6. The fastest truck in the 2009-model market is most likely going to be the Silverado w/6.2 Vortec & 6-speed transmission. 403 hp & 417 ft/lbs. trq.
