I have to agree. It's a lot more aggressive and I think it conveys the emotion a lot better. Not to mention the guitar parts aren't put in the background like they are here.

You're one of the few Evanescence fans I like because you actually knew where this song came from. A lot of people think Amy wrote this whole song, but anyone who paid attention to their website when Fallen came out would have seen that this song was not marked as one of the songs she penned herself.

@Thehighschool8888 I don't think so. It was never meant for Evanescence to sing, Rocky was in a band called Soul Embraced awhile back, and it was written for them but when he joined Evanescence they performed it instead.

And the I long to die is from the movie Romeo and Juliet with Claire Danes and Leo Dicaprio :)

you can get almost all these demos on a website called mp3 search.com. but be warned.... u have to set up an account and put money on it to get tracks cause they cost like 9 cents a song! and like 1 or more for a cd

yea, i agree. i actually like this version a lot. much of their music has that haunting dark feel and thats why i love the band. a lot of their songs have a really dark ominous feeling to them but without sounding too depressing and has something to it i can't quite put my finger on.

The lyrics were written by a band called Soul Embraced. Evanescence was lucky enough to acquire one of the members for a while in her band, and she decided to do one of his songs. Of course, she would never TELL anyone that. Everyone has to assume that she's the genius...
