BERRERA ADMITS HE DUCKED NAZ SO FORGET WHAT ANY HATER SAYS ... naz was the best at what he did and gave boxing all credit to camp naz in sheffield.!! full stop.
i dont care what anyone sais, this man had entertainment with outstanding chrisma, a bit cocky but thats what boxing is about to make enemies then friends.
to be honest you think prince naz fights bums of the streets, like where do they get these fellas, but then again its princes unique style and power that makes em look ordinary
he got wayyyy much more presents from the president+businessmen of yemen. the estimates of the total gifts is 10 million dollars. excluding the lands that were given to him( atleast another 10million.)
Stevehanson posted a video of the barrera fight claiming barrera failed a urine test, it is all lies, if you google it all you will see is one single alligation in the entire world, its on youtube, and its stevehansons own alligation, i asked him to provide proof, this is sad stevehansons reply--------------The truth will come out, wait till then to believe it if u wish. I didnt test the guy myself, maybe its not true....but the signs are there, the behavior is there, and the allegation is there
Hamed was a hell of a fighter. I wish some of you would shut the fuck up over his fight with MAB. He lost to an all time great and suddenly he's a crap fighter? You are more fickle than teen age girls.
did you see the Barrera and Hamed fight, not even a match. Barrera took him to school. Marco should the world how Hamed was just a one punch fighter with defense, but boxing skills, he did not have. Hamed was a showman, but against boxers like Barrera, Morales, and Marquez, Hamed does not stand a chance.
hamed would've won if ingle was still in his corner. he kept hamed much more disciplined than steward did. i'm beginning to think manny steward is becoming more and more of a terrible trainer, what with heavy losses for Andy Lee and Kermit Cintron. Maybe Hamed was the start of his decline?
naz was well past it when he fought barrera, his reflexes had gone and so had his chin, he was also too cocky, didn't train right, this video here was him at his best at super bantamweight, barrera would have been killed
Dear Prince Naseem Haters, Okay, you say that this guy the Prince was fighting was shitty. Well, Erik Morales fought Castro right after Hamed and it took him 10 rounds to finally knock him out while it took Hamed only 4 and it was obvious that he was playing around with him the entire fight! People say that Morales would have done in Prince Naseem way worse than Barrera. Seriously? He allowed this so called "shitty guy" to almost go the distance with him. Prince Naseem was legit, admit it
What I tried to dispute was not Hamed's "greatness" as you said, but to dispute the fact that everyone seems to have seen a prophecy that states that Hamed-Morales or even Pacquiao-Hamed would be losses for Hamed. Those questions are to be left unanswered. Even someone who dislikes Hamed must look at this Naseem and the Naseem that showed up against Barrera and be able to see that these are two different fighters.
Naseem against a lesser quality fighter would ofcourse look great.
Because Morales didnt beat Castro as quick only proves the guy was durable nothing to do with his boxing skill. Naz had amazing punch power which is why he could dispatch of some opponents early.
Against lesser opposition he looked fantastic no doubting that all. But then thats boxing for u , build up the record and build up your reputation by fighting people who arent on a par with youself.
at feather weight naz was against guys much bigger, at super bantamweight he was untouchable, his 2nd fight at feather he got dropped and was not as fast or accurate as at super bantam
naz at his best would have destroyed barrera and morales was so easy to hit, naz would have played with him, why do people say the pacman win over barrera was a finished barrera, bull, he was at his best, but was naz at his best again marco, hell no, watch the fight before and after the loss, he was clearly past it and an old 27
Your argument for Hamed is Castro. LOL. My point is that Hamed's winning record are against lesser fighter, against boxer who are not true champions like Barerra, Morales, Pacquiao, and Marquez. Hamed won against NOBODY. He picked fighter with excellent records, but those boxers record came from even lesser fighters. Hamed used his showmanship to excite fans, but a great fighter he is not, not even close.
barrera and morales both ducked naz for years, only when naz was showing clear signs of deccline did barrera grow the balls to fight him, and marquez was shit back then and was unknown and manny wasn't even a pro,
the problem is is that you are wrong, naz if you see him at featherweight even against bums like billy hardy, his head and body movement wasn't the same, and when he boxed barrera he was too upright as manny steward had changed his style, when naz fought with his style intact and at his best weight he looked stunning, he won the wbc, wba, ibf, wbo and ibo titles in his career, and naz around 95 would have easily beaten marco
But we cant say that cause it didnt happen. We can specualte all night long about "wot ifs" and "if only's"
The facts are the same that he was beaten pretty soundly by Barerra. A fight which Naz was odds on to win by many people.
He was never unbeatable man. Nothing to do with the weight he fought at he was just as good at featherweight. Not about going up in weight more about going up in class.
Barerra fought a great fight and his change of tactic worked a treat
why are you denying that naz was past it when he fought barrera, he was shit against augie sanchez who was a bum with no chin and had been kod in 1, then his loss after naz beat him was another 1st round ko yet naz got dropped and hurt and struggled to win, that shows his reflexes were gone, and barrera couldn't miss, because naz was upright and his head was too high, manny steward told him to keep the chin down but it was manny that changed his style in the 1st place
@kareemabdullah nas is a superior boxer compared to barrera. nas has alot more skill better feet power angles everything he even has a very good chin.
Hamed's decline in form leading up to the Barrera fight had nothing to do with advancing years - he was still in his 20's - and everything to do with improved opposition. His style became increasingly orthodox late in his career simply because he learned (the hard way) that world class fighters would time his swaying, lunging style, catch him off balance and nail him. Honestly, it's naive to suggest that Hamed would have fared any better against Barrera a few years earlier.
@kareemabdullah naseem came to fight BARRERA from 35 consecutive wins.......and as soon as he lost he all of the sudden had been in decline?.....thats a fucken lame ass excuse......the one that one is decline was barrera.....and even managed to beat his ass
@enigma181886 No, he gave up which he shouldn't have. Even Ali came back from defeats to Frazier and Norton to beat them, twice each! Naz should have rechallenged Barrera.
@kareemabdullah Oh plsssss. Signs of decline. He was outclassed. But with a name like Abdullah you are probably biased and wont agree. So yea. naseem was great because allah made him great. I guess allah also made him a tool. We won't be saying that about Manny.... though

it is so funny to see the Haters of Naseem Hamed hating him and saying he was bad because he lost ONE match against Barrera.
This Barrera was so pumped up full of hate because every Mexican was slapped silly by Hamed.
There is no human fighter like Hamed, he is an example for true boxing, not the lame boring academic dogmatic schoolboy fighting nowadays.

U base the "greatness" of Naz on the fact that he beat Castro quicker than Morales did?
Barerra was beaten by Jones and was expected to lose to Naseem , it just shows that its styles that make fights.
Doesnt matter who did wot in the past. Theres little doubt that Morales wouldve done the same as Barerra against Naz though. Same goes for Pac Man.
brakie1978 4 years ago

As the opponents got better Naz was hit more often. Was this down to him not training as much or just a better calibre of boxer facing him??
We will never know.
My opinion was that he was always going to lose eventualy.
Ur right he did look great in the video He looked amazing against lesser opposition.
Again i would say against the best he just wasnt upto scratch. Dont see wot the problem is with that?

He wasnt past it. He was 27 and had hardly been hit ( apart from afew obvious fights ).
Manny wasnt in his corner in the Alicea or Kellery fights though Ingle was. So thoe examples cant be blamed on Manny.
Naz was hit way to often in these and it showed how a A+ fighter could beat him.
U just hav to accept wot happened. Naz seemes to hav accepted he lost to the better man. Why cant his fans???
