What I tried to dispute was not Hamed's "greatness" as you said, but to dispute the fact that everyone seems to have seen a prophecy that states that Hamed-Morales or even Pacquiao-Hamed would be losses for Hamed. Those questions are to be left unanswered. Even someone who dislikes Hamed must look at this Naseem and the Naseem that showed up against Barrera and be able to see that these are two different fighters.

Hamed's decline in form leading up to the Barrera fight had nothing to do with advancing years - he was still in his 20's - and everything to do with improved opposition. His style became increasingly orthodox late in his career simply because he learned (the hard way) that world class fighters would time his swaying, lunging style, catch him off balance and nail him. Honestly, it's naive to suggest that Hamed would have fared any better against Barrera a few years earlier.
