Sin duda es la mejor de todas las opera compuestas por Salieri en su juventud. Solo tenia 28 años cuando la estrenó en el histórico teatro de La Scala de Milano en 1778. Tiene pasajes sumamente hermosos y canto de extremada dificultad técnica sobre todo para las sopranos exige notas muy agudas y de fuerza dramática. Excelente obra lírica.

Rancatore has a very beautiful voice and it has a lot more depth and power than Damrau. However, they were both on fire in this performance...some of the best singing heard in this repertory in a very long time.

they have a different type of voice.

yes she was,...but singing both parts the same day would have been something pretty odd :P
