Not only the greatest football player of alltime but one the greatest athletes of the 20th century. The word GENIUS doesn't even do Pele justice. Its unfortunate that only 30% of his career exists on film. Not only the greatest football player of alltime but one the greatest athletes of the 20th century. Its not impossible, but I don't think his goal scoring feats and consistency will ever matched let alone surpassed. I've seen with my OWN EYES for hours and hours all Brazil's matches from that era ( 58-70 ). I've got the DVD's.
My opinion is just my opinion. He was playing in a S-H-I-T-T-Y era where Brazil DOMINATED EASILY almost on every opponent. Especially 58 and 62.
World Cup 70 Brazil was something special. They worked very well ALL TOGETHER as a TEAM, therefore Pele scored ONLY 4 goals in 6 matches when he played the whole WC.

Maradona is an underachiever, way overrated! He lost 3 out 4 World Cups,; Napoli never went beyond the 2nd. round at the champions league; He never won any title in S. America. Lost all the Copa America he played. If someone can be very picky, it is not that unfair for him to say that literally Maradona played only two great games at his WC history:
Against England and Belgium in 86. I was there. He was not that great at the final. Tell me What other major title did Diego win? Succeed where?

There was no yellow card at that time. 66 was by far the most violent world cup ever. 62 he also got injured. He decided he wouldnt play another wc after 66 because of his injuries. He got disappointed with football itself and his bad luck, not brazils "humilliation". NO player is invencible, there is no superman on this earth.

It's impressive to see comments here like "look at this shitty defenders" or "against small brazilian teams is easy". They dont realize this video shows the greatest momments of Pelé in international matches, Libertadores finals, World Club championship finals, etc. Important and decisive matches, against the greatest teams of the time, not everyday matches, otherwise it would not be on movie; 3/4 of Pelés goals were not registered in video.
