For so many years, I've experienced the natural beauty and culture of Mexico - from horse-back riding in the rain forests to driving over the Sierra Madres - a hot & dry desert ride! A gal-pal and I are in the midst of orchestrating a trip to the Cabo area. Now I'm adding "try to find a cenote"! I might just jump in too. What a wondrous and exciting addition to our trip that would be!!! :-) Absolutely stunning...
correct fishgirl15, but there are also good dive story sites on the net. my favorite is the myscubastory site. they have real dive accident stories and a collection of videos too! Type myscubastory intogoogle and its the first result - :)
What tour did you take to go visit here? We have been there twice by way of Carnival cruise ships and the tours consisted of a long bus ride and very limited time at the ruins and the cenote at the ruins are not accessible. Did you come in from a different city then Merida like Cancun maybe? I will need to research tours that include this stop for next time.
@JCVdude OIC, well the place is beautiful you all scored on a great tour,I wish it was included in our cruise excursion. I hope to visit here the next time I am out there.
@rayshombavision when you are leaving the ruins take 180 (not 180D, the toll road) towards cancun. there are signs for the ik-kil cenote along the road and the entrance to the park is on the right. if you hit valladolid, you have gone too far east. it is something like 50 pesos for a ticket and i think the park closes at 5pm. if you are traveling back to cancun, be sure to take the 180D toll road and not 180 public, it will save you 3 hours and is worth the 250 pesos per car. i hope this helps.
Pessoal, estive nesse Cenote Ikil de Chichen Itza e foi demais! Dizem que é revitalizante, digo que a água é bem gelada, pulei da plataforma de 5 metros e garanto que saí renovado! Fantástico!

@rosario7498 ACUERDATE QUE TODA ESTA ZONA VIVE DEL TURISMO Y NO DEL TURISMO MEXICANO. ASI QUE DEBERIAS SABER QUE PARA QUE LA TURISMO VENGA A GASTAR DINERO A LOS LUGARES TURISTICOS HAY QUE SER AMABLE
i love the video and i just gotta say OMG to that old women in the green shirt at the one minute mark, she looks just like my grandma that passed away over 13 years ago
Ive been here its beautiful. MEXICO ROCKS its less expensive than the jersey shore but 10 times more beautiful. FUCK SLEAZESIDE HEIGHTS NJ and im from jersey. I went diving at bajia beach and cozumel . I ate alot of refried beans too yumyum I cant wait to go back.
Just went there a few days ago, June 9th. It is a perfect place to cool off after a long hot day at Chichen Itza. Believe me, after spending a few hours cooking in the ruins this will feel like paradise.
