  • @prairiedillo haa haa I know, but I pronounced it wrong so many times back in the 80's that it is hard to break the habit. Even after learning Japanese. I just finally stopped calling raman noodles "ray-man"! :-)

  • it's Tie-toe not Tay-toe.

  • BTW I'm very jealous of how much space you have, I have three candies and a Big blue and I thought I was ahead of the curve, your work area is HUUGE! If I get rid of some stuff on a dump run I might have room for 3 more... :D

  • @airthrow I am jealous of the 3 candies and the Big Blue!

  • Absolutely INCREDIBLE work. Make another vid when you get the cab complete and the T-molding on there! I'm definitely going to copy your idea er, use it as "inspiration" if I ever get a freebie American cab. :)

  • @airthrow Thanks! Yes there will be another video when I complete the cabinet! Send me a message if you want more info on the Plexiglas.

  • Looking good!

I hope you give your 360 a lot of ventilation. :)

  • @videogameobsession Don't worry about that, I got it all covered! :-)

  • It looks really cool how you mapped the buttons out, very nice layout there sir. = )

  • @OldSchoolNYCGamer Thanks!

  • Too bad about the buttons. I think it really takes away from the awesome work you've done there.

I personally would add some awesome black paint or tape detailing to the control panel since it tends to look a little plane.

Questions, since the cab is for an Xbox 360 and not a regular Xbox why are you going with a VGA monitor? Is it just to get an old style arcade feel?

  • @MoreDakka101 Well there isn't much I can do about it, except to order more and hope that I get ones that respond.

I am not sure what I am going to do, I was thinking about putting a capcom or street fighter logo between the plexi and aluminum

  • @tigheklory that's true. Though if you know of any place that sells hardware somewhat locally OR you know personally, testing it before purchase would be an option. I don't have that ability but you seem to do a lot of arcade cab work so you might have made a connection over the years :)

I like the idea of a capcom logo... that would add a little something. Maybe if you did the logos in black and white but only used the black portions?

  • @MoreDakka101 The guys I guy from are in Hawaii and North Carolina. I am in Rural NY. I am sure that the guy in Hawaii would check them for me.

Yes I was just going to do just black vinyl.

  • @MoreDakka101 Oh and the VGA monitor is because that is what I have, it will fit the cabinet, and a LCD wouldn't fit and is too expensive. The 360 looks good in 480p mode.

  • @tigheklory nothing wrong with a VGA monitor. I just noticed you specifically mentioned it :)
