She is a beautiful horse and such a cut foal, took a while to clean though, still a beatiful thing.

Thank you, she continues to be the best mom! We have not had to creep feed the foal, she takes a bite and backs off for him to eat. She is still nursing him, he turns 17 wks tomorrow, Sept. 15, 2009...He is a gorgeous boy and seems to be a smart one as well...

Did the mare finally clean the colt? Was this her 1st time? The camera girl had hands of steal not film and not interfere, I was reaching into the screen!!!

Yes, she finally got busy and cleaned, loved and urged that boy to get up and nurse...it was her second foal and she is one of the best mothers that I have had experience with raising foals...It did take nerves of steel not to interfere, I give them all the time they need UNLESS there is a problem! The boy was breathing and no one was stressing, except ME!
