@dahbombdokuroaisu Nah, I love cats, I'm just not too fond of the ensemble of every animal in the #$!@ing barn moaning and groaning like that. F*ck it.
Geez.. this was the first animated movie I saw as a kid. If only I knew what it meant back then, I was too young and thought it was some kids' movie lol
@pandabbles Clover is in this movie. she's the other horse but she doesn't have any lines. I liked the book better but I love the ending to this movie! :D
They put this on my history class and i really didnt pay attetion to it because i was hiting on this girl. Want an horrible mistake.... i had beuty waiting for me infront of the screen
@oldrocker74 I'm in high school now and the only one of those books I haven't read is A Brave New World, which I plan on picking up at the library, I think it would be awesome if we read those in school, they could probably fit in a civics class actually with their themes and stuff, in fact I realize my school has very little required reading, and nothing like those classics. Shame.
@oldrocker74 where did u get this notion that the books you listed are banned. I am an English teacher and as far as I know they are not banned. They are just not required reading. Instead, we give students a list of recommended books and let the students choose what they want to read. And from all the lists I know, every book u named are on that list.
What are you talking about?! I had to read "Animal Farm" TWICE. I'm required to read "1984" and "A Brave New World" right now. While not in my High School, I know "Catcher in the Rye" and "A Clockwork Orange" are still required reading at several other schools, as confirmed by my friends in those schools.
@Paplaete He does seem to have a point, some of these are on banned lists in American schools, and others just don't seem to be required reading in high school anymore. But I've always loved these sorts of books and wish other kids my age were forced to at least read them ONCE. I mean, a child could understand Animal Farm you know?
@oldrocker74 Did you have to read Fahrenheit 451 too? and did you enjoy reading those novels, I mean I would imagine you would if you commented on this page but......?
@oldrocker74 I'm in high school. We've read The Catcher in the Rye, 1984, and Animal Farm. But my teacher A Clockwork Orange was WAY too violent for high schoolers.
Operation Mockingbird: Also in the 1950s to '70s, the CIA paid a number of well-known domestic and foreign journalists (from big-name media outlets like Time, The Washington Post, The New York Times, CBS and others) to publish CIA propaganda. The CIA also reportedly funded at least one movie, the animated "Animal Farm," by George Orwell. The Church Committee finally exposed the activities in 1975.
@prettyjohnshill zimbabwe is messed up South Africa is doing very well for itself. Zimbabwe is messed because of sanctions.... how can she prosper if she is not being allowed to trade freely with the world? who put the sanctions on her? UN! who controls the UN? The elites. I rest my case, I think you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself who is really the sheep here!
To mmaghfai--> yeah, i agree, but who's gonna run things after they're gone-you? i understand a little revolution's a good thing but we all need to realize that after the overthrow--social justice, fair systems and peace need to be reestablished after paying the bills. after all, power corrupts-and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
im watchin this cuz i got a test tomorrow and i didnt read the book plus an di need to get an idea to wat its about

"'Four legs good - Two legs bad' was part of the chant by the animals in Animal Farm."
And it was the uncorrupted chant by the animals.
Once the pigs revised the animal laws, that law became "four legs good - two legs better."

@prettyjohnshill Well, not quite true. The unimployment rate is half of what you said. Colombia has the highest murder rate of 2010.
And it looks like you think that the problems in South Africa comes derives the skin colour of the men in power. Something that sounds rather racist.
