I imagine Fremantle see MJ's passing as a business opportunity more than anything. The media orgs who are legal owners of such footage have staff working around the clock to pump out their own tributes to MJ. For them, this is a chance to capitalise on their assets, either selling the tributes on to networks, or selling advertising time during what is sure to be a popular program. Imagine how much they'd resent discovering a lowly YouTuber was cutting in on their business, Gears :(
I was heavily shocked by Michael's death.
I made a tribute, with loads of great live footage of him, and fermantle international blocked it with a copyright claim.
What a bunch of assholes! Its not that they blocked it, it's that they did it when it was just a tribute for him, and several hours of work.
