you no the bottom turn, say you wanted to backflip a lip that was pretty much right above you would you just pull the rail up as much as you can and then just go for it?

@manxind yeah timing is everything because you need to roll with the wave

He uses his fins to initiate the the spin, you can also use your hand. Just drop your open hand into the water using it as a brake on that side, board flat, no rail and legs

up an crossed. Once you start spinning use your fins to stabilize yourself. Enjoy!!!

i think its also important to point out that a board thats too small or has a reversed rocker will definately hold you back from completing spins.it makes it soo much harder and it will just frustrate you.Get the right size board for you (up and around your belly button)with a flat to 5 milimetre rocker and your good to go!

I've been boarding for about a month now and everyone around me is doing 360's.

- when i catch the wave i get some good speed, however when i try to turn my board doesn't seem to budge.

-I don't understand how you are meant to spin with your whole body.

-I have an NMD ELEMENT PE CORE surfing on the northern beaches.

-If I've been boarding for bout a month and I can't even do a 360. Am I just plain shit or do I keep practicing?

-How long did everyone else take to pull this off?

hi i got a boogie board a few months ago and it was from targer lol and when i duck dive it bends in the middle am i doingsomething wronge or is it just a bad board and the next board i get should i get it froma legit surf shop or get another one that cost half the prive at target thanks

@123454140 yeah it sounds like your board has no reinforcements (stingers) in the middle of your board. and have a browse on the net for some half decent boards :)

if ur gonna start 2 duck dive and pull of tricks, u will need a board with a core thats best for ur water temp. Colder water u want a DOW or PE core, for hotter water u want some type of PP Core. u can pick up a board with a good core FROM $99. proof that u need a stringer: my Nomad board does not have one and its a $280 board. it has never bends when i duck dive and i ride some big waves.

if it not like a spider man or ben 10 should be able to pick one up in big w or the reject shop i think you riding on the dora that is a pe and you should think about moving up

@1Jiller lolz that used to happen to me what you have the do is get on the highest part of the wave you can not on the top but just under the lip. What you want to do is lift your feet out of the water then drag your hand to get used to what the spin is like then go home and do some sit ups then that really help to be able to do the spin without dragging your hand. Also, make sure your infront of the barrel and near the top like I said. I hope this helped sincerely, $he@
