My father listened to Oldies on the radio throughout my entire childhood. As a kid I thought it was all quite lame. As a young adult, I fucking love it. Thanks Dad =]
rdrgamer1214 i totally agree with you and i am 12 years old i love mafia2 best game everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
It's a safe bet that any hit to enter the Hot 100 and was pressed on a stock 45 has a promo/DJ copy counterpart out there. When you get into collecting 12' promo singles of pop/rock songs with nothing more than a three minute single edit on both sides it's hit or miss because some titles were never pressed on 12" promo. Those 12" promos were serviced to FM AOR/CHR radio and there is no online database that includes all releases. What you have uploaded so far, your collection is amazing!!
@HitsTownUSA There are some of labels that rarely issued promo 45s -- at least during some points in their history, that's why there are so few promo 45s on Capitol by the Beatles or the Beach Boys, or promos on Tower records (a Capitol subsidiary) in its early years, yet both labels had multiple hits..... however for most hits, there are promo versions available if one is patient enough to find them....and sometimes promo 45s are easier to find than the stock 45's are.
@ThePromo45Guy Even if no white label 45's were serviced, the record label would issue stock copies rubber stamped. In cases that promos are more abundant than stocks, it's due to lousy chart performance and not enough promotion to make the record "take off".
Fuck yeah American Graffiti.
