As funny as his stand up is, I think I like him more for his interviews, which are often hilarious, and more often than not also quite serious, sometimes within the same phrase.
Many people can be funny, but not all of them are as well informed. Other examples would be Robin Williams and Robert Newman, both hilarious on stage, but often more engaging for their knowledge alone, rather than their ability to get a laugh.
