Hey tardo, that was the obvious part that I thought I'd leave out since we were talking about the mangekyou sharingan, which is all in the mind anyways.
Can anyone with a working brain answer the main part of my question? Why would he subject Kakashi to that (in reality or in the mind) if he was a good guy?

Kakahi got his Sharingan at 13. He graduated at the Academy at 5 and made Chunnin at 6. Itachi activated his Sharingan at 8, graduated at the academy at 7 and made Chunnin at 10. He advanced faster because of his Sharingan while Kakashi made it on his own. Let's not forget that he dont use it as much because it tires him as he doesnt have the Uchiha blood. He use the Sharingan as a last resort while Itachi used it as often as possible. In a fair fight, i think Kakashi would have won.

Itachi is too dependent on his Sharingan. Kakashi with ONLY one Sharingan is at par with him, if not, more so. Think of the possibilities of Kakahi if he has 2 Sharingan. Im not underestimating Itachi but when you say Uchiha, the greatest in power is not Itachi but Madara. Sorry.

@startup97 My best guess is that Madara can beat Sasuke and Itachi combined. Come on, he's the ancestor. He must have zillion jutsus in his Sharingan. Plus, he has the Rinnegan (which i think is the coolest and the most powerful dojutsu ever) in one eye too. Itachi and Sasuke are both good but they're not Madara. Too bad we dont get to see muchof Madara and his fighting style. =(

@Venus914 In my opinion yes. He was able to beat madara, and A. He was feared and overall he had huge potential for growth he was still very young when he died. In the other hand I also think that the sage of 6 paths is the strongest, but not the smartest ill give that to minato. Its hard to say who is the strongest of the shinobi to be honest If ur caught in itachis, madaras, or sasukes ocular ninjutso ur done. If u get hit by a rasengan shuriken ur done. U see my point ?

@Venus914 uhm Itachi doesnt depend on his Sharingan lol... he devoloped his Sharingan so well that he could use them forever so he never stopped using them... unlike other Uchiha's who couldn't/can't use their Sharingan for too long (because they run out of Chakra).. and even without the Sharingan Itachi would have been a decent ninja.. he oversees the situation and reacts to it.. he made his seals quicker than any other Shinobi alive.. (don't need a Sharingan for that) all in all he's the best.

Im basing my theory that The Rinnegan is THE dojutsu of the the Sage of the Six Paths, who is the creator of ninjutsu and the ninja world. =) What is the power of the Sharingan compared to that? Anyways, it's a moot point anyways because i wont change my opinion...unless Kishi would reveal something special about the Sharingan in the manga.

Kakahi got his Sharingan at 13. He graduated at the Academy at 5 and made Chunnin at 6. Itachi activated his Sharingan at 8, graduated at the academy at 7 and made Chunnin at 10. He advanced faster because of his Sharingan while Kakashi made it on his own. Let's not forget that he dont use it as much because it tires him as he doesnt have the Uchiha blood. He use the Sharingan as a last resort while Itachi used it as often as possible. In a fair fight, i think Kakashi would have won.
